DHCPCD: change timeout value in LM7.2?

I tried DHCPTIMEOUT=5 in my ifcfg-eth0, but it still kicks to 60sec. Where do I change the timeout value?

2 options that I can see

1) use linuxconf as I recall it has a place for optional arguments when you setup a interface. set the option there

2) edit the ifup script and drop the switch into there

I didn't find any places for optional arguements in linuxconf for LM7.2 and I already tried editing ifup. I tried editing it at two places, but I'm nor sure where exactly I can specify a timeout value.

just read up on my box some. if you're using pump you can set it in /etc/pump.conf other wise there will be a line like

if /sbin/dhcpcd $PUMPARGS -i $DEVICE ; then

change it to

if /sbin/dhcpcd $PUMPARGS -i $DEVICE --timeout 300; then

or whatever your's requires

I don't use pump, but tried the same thing for dhcpcd in ifup. The timeout still stuck to 60 sec, doh

looks like you don't have your LO interface up or it doesn't like your host name. I would like to know if you couldn't fix those errors showing in your logs

I thought about that too...except it says that it successfully brought up lo. I could never get that error to go away. btw, what calls ifup?
