how long did it take you get to such a high level in ladder?

Heh I'm basically over it, though I do miss playing from time to time still. Best exp is from Baal's minions at the Throne of Destruction. Leveling past 85 or so is actually rather boring. You just do Baal minion runs until your eyes bleed.

You're kidding right? I have an 87% mf and rares drop like crazy (and that's not including my merc's mf). In an average farming run (Baal, Mephisto, Diablo if I'm bored - the unique boss at the beginning of frigid, and Shenk) I'll get about 1 or 2 set items, 1 or 2 uniques, and about 10 rares at least. In 1.09, even with well over 100% mf I used to get way crappier drops.

Oh, here's a good one too - I popped the chest behind Mephisto yesterday on one run. Everything that popped from it was rares - 5 items, 2 piles of gold, 2 gems.

BTW - there's supposed to be a necro bone template that does 3k-4k damage with bone spear.

This is how I level.

First, you will want to give your character the unique flail from the act 3 travincal guys. This will kill just about everything in act 1 with one hit, and it has no level requirement.

level
normal
1-6 act 1 den of evil to stony field.
7-12 act 1 the rest of act 1
12-17 act 2 sewers runs
18-21 act 2 arcane runs
21-24 act 3 travincal runs
24 act 5 kill the ancienets - this will bump you up to level 25
25-45 act 5 baal runs (doing baal before level 25 is almost worthless)

nightmare
46-75 act 5 baal runs

hell
75-99 act 5 baal runs

I like to move on to nightmare act level 45 because the nightmare act 2 mercs seem to max out at level 44, and they seem to level faster if they are close to your level.
