Diablo 2, I miss you.

I've realized recently that Oblivion is exactly a first-person version of Diablo 2. Except single player only.

I can't pinpoint what exactly makes me like Diablo I better than II. D2 has many more items, weapons, levels (above ground was non-existent in D1), charaters, and etc. But for some reason I can't get into it like I did with D1. Maybe perhaps after all that wait for the sequel the novelty died down.

Admittedly, I didn't play all the way through D2 and only got through ACT II and decided to quit. The single player experience did not give me the joy that D1 did.

IM PLAYING! Lvl 17 Necro, Expansion. I liked it before 1.10... I liked it way way back when Diablo 2 was just released I used to play for hours with my cousin's... they hacked and stuff. They rushed me every time I came down, got to lvl 50... then I had to leave

i started a barbarian after reading all these posts. I keep getting a "your connection has been interrupted" message after like 5 minutes or so of playing... quite irritating. Anyone have the same problem?

we eventually need to get an AT game going. I'm playing expansion v1.11, but if people are against expansion, I can just play the original D2.

Anyway, it's amazing. Despite the fact I bought this game the day it came out and logged so many hours, I feel like such a n00b now. The game is so much different. So many new items and crap.

I played again with the new patch (1.10) last year. Nightmare and hell especially are soo much harder now, but my with my skelemancer, it was a piece of cake.

Imagine 10 fully upgraded skeletons, a decent fire golem, 3-4 mage skeletons, couple undead guys running around (they're so stupid) and me casting corpse explosion and amplify damage almost too easy.

You never even saw the game then. That would be like quitting Diablo 1 before you reached the caves.

FYI:

Nox was a fun knock-off. Pick it up in the bargain bin if you ever see it.
Sacred was a diablo wanna be - it was grind-city and kinda sucked.

Titan Quest: This is probably it. It's not Diablo II, but it definately scratches the same itch. Graphics are nice. Very deep item and skill tree. If you are a D2 fan you owe it to yourself to check it out. Demo probably won't go long enough to get the feel though.

diablo 1 is better - the atmosphere is a MILLION times what D2 has. D2, otoh, has a much greater replaybility factor due to more classes, unique skills, etc.

skype is a VOIP client - you can make calls to regular telephones in addition to connecting to other computers.

well he's not playing the expansion
