Nice! Chances are it wasn't great, but that is promising nonetheless. I'd imaging you could get a 1500DPS EF pretty easily now days. Max min/max damage roll, 50% damage increase, +0.25 APS and max attack speed might be close.

I've played through Normal and Nightmare on the Xbox 360 thus far. I logged the vast majority of my time on PC before Paragon Levels were introduced, so I'm not in touch with the current state of the game on PC.

I was skeptical about playing the game on console. I thought that after playing a little over 100 hours on PC that it wouldn't be able to hold my interest. For now, it seems I was wrong. I'm really enjoying the Diablo III console experience.

The buffed drops are making it much more enjoyable. I don't know for sure how many Legendary drops I've had total, maybe 20-30 if I had to guess, but I know that I've had them dropped within minutes of each other a few times. This is playing with very little magic find, usually under 20%. I found fewer Legendary items on PC in all of my time played, probably less than 10 total, and most weren't worth keeping. I completely understand why that's the case, AH and all, but it really serves as a great example of how mega buffed drops are on console. Crafting armor, and some weapons in the earlier levels, is useful and helped me fill in the gaps where I didn't have great gear from drops.

For me, Legendary drop frequency seems to make all the difference in the world. When I see an Orange beam of light pop up on my screen, I get excited. I intend to play through Inferno completely at the very least. Venturing further into Paragon Levels is a possibility. I'm sure it will depend on how exciting the drops are while grinding Inferno.

I haven't had a chance to try it, but I'd imagine local co-op would be an absolute blast. If you're on the fence about D3 on console, give it a shot!

That feeling of finding a legendary kind of fades quickly with the new drop rate. The PC drop rate is also buffed. Farming paragons, I find like 4-5 legendaries a run (which takes like 30 minutes).

I might pick this up when it goes on sale or I get tired of the PC version.

Consoles versions of Diablo 3 are superior to the PC version? Because you can actually play it offline and without RMAH?

Have to admit as a person that bought the game on launch on PC, it disappoints me that I am stuck with the inferior version of the game. Blizzard should really be ashamed of themselves for what they did.

crap game on all systems after the greatness of D2.. I have played far to many hours of D1 and D2.. still do (d2) after my first run through of D3.. i went back to D2.. I cant place my finger on it but.. D3 is pretty at first glance.. so it looks ok.. but the simplified leveling system has done what WOW did for MMORPG's... made it so the stupidest designed players can still win. part of D2 greatness was tweeking that character.. doing a faceplam when you hit that brick wall of stupid decisions on your skill tree.. Making the game so simple was just bad.. you no longer use teh skill tree and drops together.. you just use drops..

so in the end i guess the console is the better system.. drops are buffed.. as for PC-PS3-360. I played it on all.. PC is better (for anybody who is a PC game player, you have the hardware).. but ps3-360.. some boss battles or those bum rush 10,000 ankle bitter attacks.. i did see the PS3 drop a few frames, game breaking- NO, noticeable if you played um side by side.. yes.. you have both systems, get the 360, you have a PS3.. get it.. you wont notice it (much like 99.99999% of the cross platform games made in the last few years.. the only really bad ones where the first 2 years of the PS3 life)

So, it is bad because you don't have to metagame before you regular game or you have to spend hours rerolling a character because you put a few stat points in the wrong places. Yep, sounds like a worse game.

Don't get me wrong, I played a ton of D2, but the system was designed to punish players. I don't want to make 15 Hammerdins because the build changes slightly to offer more DPS. PoE did this to an even worse extent (you chose skills for weapon types at early level before you even knew what end game weapons you'd end up with).

The D3 leveling system isn't perfect, but it is an improvement to the old way. I think a happy medium would have been you picked your stats and skills as you leveled, but (for a price depending on your level: below 30 its free then goes up) could respec. Runes could remain movable, but the base skills had to remain the same.

I am really enjoying this game. Between Diablo and GTA, I will easily hold off on next gen consoles until next year.

Got my first legendary item last night after slaying the Butcher! Lucky me it was a legendary spellbook..and I'm a wizard which works out nicely for me.

Ps4?? Agreed this and GTA5 I'm set for a long time.

Just got an email from Blizzard which may be of interest to some of you:

We are writing tell you about an important change to Diablo III: we're going to be removing the gold and real-money auction house system from the game.

When we initially designed and implemented the auction house system, the driving goal was to provide a convenient and secure system for trades. But after much review and player feedback, it became increasingly clear that despite the benefits of the AH system and the fact that many players around the world use it, it ultimately undermines Diablo's core game play: kill monsters to get cool loot.

We're working out the details of how the auction house system will be shut down, but we wanted to share the news as soon as we made the decision in order to give everyone as much advance notice as possible. Please note that the final shutdown will occur on March 18, 2014. We will keep everyone informed as we work through this process, but feel free to check out our blog post on the subject, and stay tuned to Diablo 3.com for further details.
