Diablo 3 Sucks

As a Diablo fan I hate more than anyone to say this, but let's be real though. It took blizzard years to release Diablo 3. I remember having a lvl 94 Barbarian running around in Diablo 2 with a teleport amulet and whirlwinding on people. Can you do that in Diablo 3? no. Will you ever be able to teleport with with any class or item other than a sorc? no. Will they include pvp? doubtful. I feel all it is is a stripped version on diablo2 with better graphics. I'm in inferno and find it pointless. There are no thrills here.



I could have sworn there was a thread for this game.

It feels like playing World of Warcraft with 3 people instead of a much larger world. Pretty clear who they had in mind when they designed this turd.

It's a fine game... does it live up to your nostalgic memory of diablo 2? Obviously not... does that make it terrible? No..

Stop pretending every game was designed to please you... and don't pretend that vanilla Diablo 2 was as good as a patched up LoD was... There has to be room for added items, characters, story and gameplay to release at a later date (I know that's some big controversy these days... with all those "unfinished games" that developers are releasing /partial sarcasm) like that never happened before...

I find the maps too big,getting fed up hacking my way through mobs and more mobs,it missing something from the older Diablo games,I'm still on Act 2 even after more then a month,says something about finding it hard to play long term.

me3 felt modern,state of the art
diablo feels like the same game i played over a decade ago not in a good way
even if 100% stable and uptime, its just not alot of fun for me anymore
esp ciming off skyrim and me3 diablo 3 just feels stale,the genre,the gfx,the whole point of playing.
made it to hell,not wasting anymore time with it, love to sale my acct.

while i may miss my lvl 99 hammer paly with engima and haart of the oak teleporting around LOL hammering everything to death, im not longin to have that back as it was boring as fuck, actuall once you got any char above 80 with decent gear the game became a total joke, runewords just made it even worse, once you got there all you did was farm for gear, hell was a joke

at least inferno offers a challange even with good gear

Wow, the things you loved about D2 is what I feel ruined the game. Patch 1.10 was one of the worst patches in the history of any game.

Seriously, 1.10 was when they released the retarded runewords (Enigma, HotO, BotD, Fort, etc) and it ruined the game. Yes, I only want Sorceress' to teleport. Yes, I only want Barbarians to have warcries. No, I don't think there should be armor that gives you 200% more damage. What's the point of even having classes if every class has the skills of every other class? I played D2 religiously up through patch 1.09 and dropped it at 1.10.

i really think people have a bad memory of what D2 was/became, it wasent hard, if you played softcore on the ladder it was a joke, hardcore was only slightly less of a joke and that was really only because of act 2 and iron maiden mobs in hell (depending on your class). yea it didnt have a AH so it was 100% grind for gear, which became bot/dupe for gear

Diablo II had plenty of flaws, all the additional calculations/math that wasent shown that directly affected your play. Damage in PVP is cut to 33% of normal, block rates, faster cast rate, damage reduction was limited to 75% at one point, attack speed, all that bollocks that you never knew about unless you read a fecking guide

Of course i was into PvP so that may not have affected other people. I remember fondly running around trashing people with guided arrow in 1.09, and in 1.11 teleporting around with my wind druid winding everyone else, only hammerdins were a threat and even then it was 50/50 who died. Ah pubbie PvP how i miss thee :'(

Blizzard built their brand and the initial success of WoW in large part on the success of Diablo and much moreseo, Diablo 2.

D3 plays out like a glorified game of World of Warcraft on a small scale. Biggest flop of the past I don't know how many years, up there with Duke Nukem Forever.

The loss of Blizzard North is really showing in the crap that is Diablo 3. Looks like neither Blizz North or Blizz Irvine can make a good arpg without the other, unfortunately.

D3 at launch is as fun as d2 at launch. People forgot they tuned D2 for 10 years before it became the fun game that it was.

In what way? So much of what people complain about in D3 was exactly the same in D2. Tons of crappy loot, obnoxious elite mob mods, lack of difficulty, simplistic gameplay, average graphics (for their time), farming end game; they're all consistent between the two titles.

For me, at least so far, D3 is the better game by far.

What I remember best about D2 is playing with a sorceress, with a skill tree that made it obvious you had to invest heavily in a single element if you wanted to stand half a chance. Then getting far enough that monsters who are completely and totally immune to that element start showing up on a regular basis. Complete screwjob - turn off game, never play again.

No 'lol, sorry your build is wrong for these mobs, you lose' moments. A built in AH so when I find good gear for the wrong class - and 95% of the good gear I found in D2 was for the wrong class - I can sell it, and buy stuff right for my character.

Plus, since you're not hammered into a build, when Blizz decides skill X is overpowered and nerfs it into the ground, you just try out other skills. D2? LOL, make a new character!
