That's a 2 way street though... DIII is ~ two years from being released and you're already saying it will 'be amazing'. We have NO IDEA, but given what we've seen it isn't changing much from DII. So if you liked that then DIII is shaping up to be solid.

Given past precedence, Diablo III will be amazing.

I've played DIII for a little over an hour, and it's fucking amazing.

I was a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE DII/LOD fan as well...DIII lives up to what it should be.

Titan Quest was destroyed by the fact that it wouldn't allow one to move the camera 360 degrees. Couldn't stand playing it for this reason.

Why would you need to do that? Most isometric games don't let you, anyway, including D, D2, Torchlight, etc...

D3 is going to be awesome, that's all that needs to be said. It will set the bar for these types of games for years to come, and I predict people will still be playing D3 in 2016.

What makes Diablo 2 so incredibly addictive and engaging for me after all these years is Battle.net. Even though the game is ancient by today's standards, you can still log in at any given time and thousands of other people will be online. I tried playing Titan Quest before, but it felt so weird to not be able to have a lobby and a big list of games to browse. Thanks to D2 + battle.net, I can't really play single player action RPGs anymore.

You can do that in TQ....

Also, there are a ton of games due to the recent TQ steam sale.

The main big thing I'm looking forward to in D3 is the customized armor / weapons. Simillar to WoW, when you get a new sword or shoulderpads and they look totally different, Diablo will be doing the same thing. I imagine in a few years and 4-5 patches down the line we'll be looking at tens of thousands (if not more) of different models being used.
