You say "just don't put them 3 feet from your head". No offense, but where else would they go? It would seem that the obvious place for computer speakers is on the desk in front of you, 3 feet from your head. I know that the horn tweeter is Klipsch's trade mark, but it just seems to be ill suited to this application. In a home theater situation, I can understand buying special stands and taking great care with the placement of your speakers to best compliment the acoustic properties of the room, but with computer speakers, 99% of users just want to plonk them on the desk. You would think that manufacturers would design them to work best when used in this way...
