She hasn't specified either a date or a place so it makes it impossible for him to have an alibi or to prove that he wasn't involved.Where and when did the alleged assault happen?

Actually it wasn't Feinstein she was worried about and if you think about it, how would Feinstein look in outing a confidential source? The answer is about as desperate as it gets.
Perhaps this will help with the timeline of events and thought processes.

Well good news, they can both go before the Senate and testify to that information and more under oath! Maybe we can get Kavanaugh to perjure himself a few more times than he already has, haha.
Just read that Kavanaugh told Orin Hatch that he believes the accuser is mistaking him for someone else, because he was never at that party. Which is odd since she hasn't specified the exact year or location.
I found the original court document link and posted it since some here might not believe it's the actual case image.
You may not remember the exact date and time but if someone pins you down, rips off your clothes and covers your mouth to prevent screaming you will remember that. How the hell does one remember an alibi from high school 36 years ago? Without checking my bank statement for debit card purchases and/or work records I couldn't give you an alibi for a specific date a year ago. Maybe if it was on a weekend I would have been at a softball tournament but again, without checking my bank records I wouldn't be able to recall off the top of my head.
Okay now this is just getting stupid. Of all the possible things Kavanaugh could have said in response to this the ONE THING you don't want to do is make your alibi an easily disprovable lie.
I start to wonder if it's not just that these people have been getting away with it their whole lives so they don't even think it's necessary to lie convincingly anymore.

The existence of the letter was leaked. By who I wonder. Ford became a useful pawn in a high stakes gambit.I didn't see an explicit "this is why", but the reasons are made plain by events. Ford (the accuser) told Feinstein her story but did not want to come forward at the time. Feinstein could have brought forward an accusation which was anonymous and unverifiable without revealing the source. Then two things happened. The existence of the letter was leaked and the letter itself forwarded to the FBI. It was only now that Ford wanted to come out and testify and that lead to where we are now.
This hurts the Democrats if under oath, the accusations fall apart, and Kavanaugh still moves forward. Political gambits are only worth it if they work.
If Kavanaugh survives this, expect Feinstein to fall under scrutiny, not to mention that the juvenile records of political leaders are now fair game, which I expect the GOP to start exploiting as an attack vector.
Ahem.Presumably, even the GOP don't want to openly endorse a sex offender to be on the Supreme Court.
Ahem.
Clarence Thomas.
You mean even after I posted it. Moi! Redonkulous.
Yup, here it is:

He seems to have gone from "I didn't do it" to "I was not at that party."
Pretty amusing to listen to Taj revel in the fact that she didn't give the exact year or location, then to have Kavanaugh say this. LOL
“He told Senator Hatch he was not at a party like the one she describes, and that Dr. Ford, who acknowledged to the Washington Post that she did not remember some key details of the incident may be mistaking him for someone else.”
GOP politicians sure do have an unhealthy history of forcing things into places where they don't belong.
Desperate grasping at the straws of coincidence. If such even exists.
Yes. But there is no written record of her mentioning him by name back in 2012. Her husband, I think, has come out and said that she said his name to him, but that is not as convincing as if there was a written record of her naming him in 2012.
Dude, WTF is with YOU?! She was respecting the woman's desire for privacy. She only released the letter after the woman requested her to do so, which was a couple of days ago by which time info had leaked and reporters were bugging her (Ford). Evidently you have been lunching with Satan yourself.https://theintercept.com/2018/09/12/brett-kavanaugh-confirmation-dianne-feinstein/
WTF!?!? Why is the woman still a senator of my state? She is literally satan, I wouldn't be surprised if she voted for Kavanuagh. We need to clean house in november. I hope everybody is voting because I can't wait to vote this old warmongering hag out of office but I need help. I can't do it alone.
Look... she passed a polygraph on this a couple months ago. She's entirely legit. She's a professor of clinical psychology at Palo Alto University. She's on the up and up. If she was really after him she could have said he raped her. I trust her completely. She has nothing to gain by lying and everything to lose. Kavanaugh is just a complete asshole. He's perjured himself in the court of public opinion by denying that he did this. If the Republicans shoe horn him into the court now they are utterly scum. Not convincing when the woman is seeing a therapist over the incident?
Paying $200 bucks a session is a big investment to try and build a fake backstory for a fake accusation six years in the future.

It sounded like she was withholding it from fellow democrats on behalf of Kavanaugh. She is well known as a collaborator with the republicans.Dude, WTF is with YOU?!
