WTF is wrong with HTC?? My carrier (3.dk) delayed availability yet again to end of May!!! Talked to a rep at a store and HTC is not sending them phones... This is getting ridiculous...

I'm stuck on my old iPhone 3GS (my 4S shattered ) and my god... it's physically painful to use...

Wonder if it has to do with the microphone issue with Nokia and their supplier?

Is that a small regional or foreign carrier in a small market? HTC is probably supplying their largest carriers first, which makes financial sense.

I live in Denmark and the carrier is Three, the most popular one. We usually get stuff very early here compared to other EU countries, that's why I don't get it

And @Imported - I hope not! I really want the HTC One...

I haven't bought it myself, but this looks pretty good:
http://www.amazon.com/KiDiGi-Cover-m...dp/B00BVV88JC/

That dock is for sale all over eBay with different pricing. I bought here http://www.ebay.com/itm/370804321938?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648 when it was $15.99, but looks like it jumped up a bit.

It works, but definitely doesn't feel "oem". The bracket for the case use is a bit bigger than my case, so the fit isn't quite perfect. Naked, without the case, I think the dock is too tight and the usb plug doesn't go in smoothly. It works, but I have to use two hands in the morning to remove my phone from it.

My sister decided to get the HTC One as an upgrade from her iPhone 4. I kinda pushed her into it instead of the S4. I think she will love the feel and the camera. And she has like three beats headphones so she buys into that too.

I ended up getting an HTC DNA from swappa. When my contract is up I'll look into at &t for the one or the s4. They are suppose to make another DNA and call it some form of one x variant for Verizon but I won't hold my breath.

Thoughts on how the GS4 Google Edition will effect the HTC One sales? Any chance of seeing an HTC One Google Edition?

I'm kinda torn. As much as I like the HTC One... MicroSD+Removable Battery+Stock Android? It's tipping the scale towards the GS4 Google Edition. I'm right now pondering if I should return my HTC One

I think it went from two horse race to one. I don't see how anyone can now consider HTC One over GS4. Development for GS4 will be insane.

There are plenty of people who wouldn't care. I think those who care about stock android and cooked roms are really only tech forum people.

A) Regardless of community, the GS4 is still gigantic and plasticky, which many don't want
B) The One has other hardware advantages
C) A lot of users really don't care about how much development there is for a phone, or paying full price, otherwise the Nexus phones would consistently be the top sellers.

Actually, I think it went from a One horse race back to two.
What's funny is how many people who bought the S4 prior to I/O must be facepalming now.

The One is still more than competitive:
- HTC One's Sense with Blinkfeed might not be the stock experience, but it's still fluid and lag-free, minimal (not bloated like Samsung's TouchWiz), and HTC Zoe and Highlights is are awesome features
- HTC One still has a superior camera especially for low-light
- Stereo front-facing speakers
- I don't care whether if someone prefers plastic, I like the aluminum body of the One
- 32 GB storage built-in
- Better screen
- HTC Media Link HD link works with ALL HDMI televisions (Samsung's similar feature works only with Samsung televisions)
- Lower price off or on-contract

If you only care about getting updates quickly and the stock Android experience, feel free to ignore everything above. What the Google GS4 actually does is provide some overlap between the potential customer base of the Nexus 4 and the GS4, at least among those with at least $650 to spend on a phone.

I don't even know how you can say this because AOSP-based ROMs are not the only form of development.

As far as I can tell basically no one in the Samsung XDA sections actually makes Touchwiz good, they either don't fix the visuals or make them 10x worse.

Anyways, I don't think this is a significant gamechanger for ROM development.

I haven't gone hands on with Sense 5 yet, but Sense 1 through 4.x have all sucked hard and been slower and more bloated than other skins. Except the skins from ZTE.

But, the better low light camera, sizable storage, front speakers, and aluminum build are enough to turn heads. It is in the CM repos now, but community development on the SG4 models will be through the roof.

Even then, it's literally a 10 gram difference. Size is pretty much the same to me though.

These phones are honestly the same in dimensions and mass.

Missing the point. It's ridiculous to call the GS4 "gigantic" and then suggest the One.
