You guys gotta check this out. This car belongs to a guy here in the Chicago area. It's a MTI 427 package called the Z07. It's comprised of a C5-R 427 (yes.. The same block in the C5-R Le Mans car) block among other things. He's running about 500 rwhp and 500 rwtq (at the rear wheels folks) with a conservative tune because it's a daily driver. It's all motor (no power adders) and sounds plain wicked with the addition of headers.
MTI Z07 at idle.

I bet it's not a street car. We've got a guy on the Z06 forums with a LPE 427 TT package. It cost him $50K plus his car. The coolest thing about the LPE twin turbo package is that it makes crazy hp, but is as docile as a stocker when you want it to be. I think he's making 825 rwhp and about 1000 rwtq off pump gas. He runs in the low 9's with drag radials.Sounds similar to my race car, which is a 400 SBC with a 4-barrell holley carb going through a set of crossover headers and into a single dynomax racing muffler. On alcohol, it makes about 700hp, 650 pounds of torque. My race car is a little more high pitched though.

I'd definitely give it a second look if it pulled up beside me at a light...but it's probably be that annoying look I give to Harley riders when they come burblin' up beside me vibrating my car

You can't deny that the Ferrari sounds awesome as well. Totally different car though.
I'm looking at adding a Vortech supercharger (similar to the ATI Procharger in the video). That should put me around 570 rwhp and about 470 rwtq. I'm just a little worried about heat at the road courses though. It's also not all motor, but it's cheaper and just as or more effective than the Z07 package.
There is a guy selling a very famous Z07. This particular guy got hosed by John Hennessy (total crook, but thats a story for another time) for about $100K and then turned to MTI to build his 9 second street monster. I think he wants $55K for his car. It even has a full Caravaggio interior. He's selling because he has a 911TT and Lambo Gallardo on order.
