Though he has so much muscle that he's solid as a rock I doubt he'd laugh at me,well not to my face at any rate

say you know you can do 12 at 45, well do 10 at 55, then 8 at 65 once you feel you can do 12 of 55 keep bumping the weight up.

that's what I'm trying to do,a warmup set of 12,up the weight a bit do a set of ten then bump it up a bit more and do 8

i dunno, when i hit 80lbs dumbells in each of my hands i got really nervous, i wouldnt want one of those falling on my chest or head and its not easy for someone to spot you on dumbells

holla!!!

I mountain biked when I was a kid

I can do ~400lbs on a leg press. my abs absolutely suck though i'm working on my arms and chest.

Leg press is a joke.... I've never worked my body in my entire life until just recently and I can do over 360lbs in the leg press for multiple reps...

Lets see what you can do in a FULL squat then I might be impressed. I'm at 95lbs for 4 sets of 6 reps... its not much but it makes your legs a lot stronger then leg press ever will!

I've seen the pics. That guy's ... well, let's just say that he's not the kind to screw with (even though it's fun). Anyway, why doesn't he participate with you??

No doubt, leg press is SUCH a joke, especially since my gym refuses to buy 100 plates, you have to stack them all the way out. Loading/unloading 20X45 plates SUX ASS!!!

I did 735 on the legg press. I'm a porker myself. I guess supporting all that weight all time paid off for something.... leg press.

Hey, too bad you aren't here at ISU, I need a good benchpress partner too. Thankfully there's usually someone in the gym with the same situation though. I normally work with just dumbbells too, though all kinds of different workouts w/ them, but yesterday I think I pulled a muscle around my shoulderblade. God did it hurt, and still does. Just make sure you stretch out and warmup first, it's really worth it...

We hit the gym together when my work schedule allows for it,most days though I go in the early evening because of my job.

Ya, you would want that massive weight of 45 pounds to come crashing down on you like a fat man through a coffee table. I don't think anyone could get such a huge weight of 45 pounds off of your chest if it got stuck, it would be too much for any person to bear

Squats are the worst exercise ever invented by mankind. The person who came up with the idea of squatting while having a weighted bar across your shoulders, voluntarily no less, should be shot. Although it does feel good 2 days later when your legs are all tight and stuff......ok don't shoot to kill him, just injure him.

I'm a tad bit shy to start off with the bar. I go to a 24 Hour Fitness and there are roid heads all over the place there.

You probably pulled your trapezoid...I've done that a few times trying to do upright rows. Does it hurt when you turn your neck?
