That's my feeling as well. I should have never stopped after hs

Squats are the worst exercise ever invented by mankind. The person who came up with the idea of squatting while having a weighted bar across your shoulders, voluntarily no less, should be shot. Although it does feel good 2 days later when your legs are all tight and stuff......ok don't shoot to kill him, just injure him.

Squats are amazing, nothing in the world can replace deep squats, I think I puked on 3 different occasions when I used to work out and every time it was leg day doing deep squats.

You will get positive and VISIBLE results within 10 days of doing squats. rotating every 3 days of courese.

My only problem with squats is that it makes me feel less safe while driving. But now that I don't drive (thank goodness for subways) it's a lot better.

I agree... I personally like the "bigger, faster, stronger" routine for rapid strength gains. As for someone just wanting to tone up, lose excess fat, or gain very lean muscle I ususally say high rep/ low weight. You raise the reps each set, not the weight. It's a little odd at first, but seems to work for a lot of people. Compare it to long distance running.

Once, in college, after doing squats as my last exercise, I decided to run from the cym to my car. Now the gym was located on a rise and the parking lot was below. So I took off running down the slope in the grass. I was going faster and faster but I didn't have the stength in my legs to keep up with my momentum nor did I have the strength left to check my speed. I ended up just crashing and burning on the grass. It was too funny.

I'm a tad on the tender side legwise today, fortunately yesterday completed a 4 day cycle for me so today is a rest day.I'm doing a lot of housework though up and down 4 flights.I'll probably hit my abs and do some stretches before bedtime though.

Add 2 cups of Epsom salts to a hot bath and soak for a while. It's really relieves sore muscles and tendons!

People are always self-conscious when it comes to working out at public places like 24 hr. fitness. I was self-conscious till my buddy pointed out that YOU are working out for YOUR benefit, not theirs. The ones who seem like roidheads didn't start out buff like that.. it took lots and lots of time and effort.. so if any of you are self-conscious.. think about how they started out and don't think so much as to them looking at you like your a muscleless twig, but turn the tables on them and ask for advice if they DO look at you.. they'll most likely help you out for whatever advice you need. Just ignore them if they make any harsh comments.. the ones who make the comments are usually just plain conceited and don't have any friends other than the gym. Remember, every body-type is different and each body has certain limits.. so it doesn't matter whether your friend can bench 500, and you can bench 50, just as long as YOU are seeing the results you intend to achieve.

I felt really weird working out at first but as I've plodded along I'm finding it easier.I try to be pleasant and am finding that people remember me and have started speaking to me,sharing tips etc,I've also had a few comments telling me that I'm looking good or was looking strong that day, which feels wonderful.
