Did I screw my mobo?

Hi

As I was tighten the screws of my mobo (A7V133) with my swiss knife (is called in I accidentally moved a capacitor for about 2 mm and then it returned to it's oriinal position. Is it brocken or not? How can I find? I checked it and it was still very tight so I gueess it's ok. But what if it doesn't touch the pcb as it should. So my question is: How do the capacitors stay on the mobo. Are they connceted with glue or smth?

I know it's kind of confusing but HELP ME. I have become sick with this. I wil appreciate if you have any foto where it shows a broken capacitor so that I know how they are connected.

It should be soldered on like everything else. I wouldn't worry too much unless you hit pretty hard, just take a closer look. Fire-up your system and see if it works, hell it may work even if the cap is loose. Might cause some stability problems if it is though.

LOL just gotta say that's a funny question... glue!

Anyways, have you tried booting it up to see if it works? if it does probably nothing happened to the capacitor.

No I didn't hit it too hard.It is still very stable in it's position (I think....)

The problem is I don't have the cpu. I will have it on tuesday, so I can't test it right now.

Can the mobo boot with a brokem( or without at all) capacitor? If it can't that's <<ok>>. I will just return it and get new. But imagine that the system boots and then having random problems and with me not knowing whether it is the capacitor's fault or another e.g windows problem. Can this happen?
