I'm guessing someone just picked it out of a big sample library that the low level music flunkies setup. One of the reasons I straight up fucking hate the music industry. I'm also guessing whomever the producer is will cop the same bullshit attitude Timbaland did when he got caught stealing shit "it's video games" like that makes it ok. Would love to be proven wrong and it be the guy played Chrono Trigger and then paid the original composer money to "sample" it. Pretty doubtful that happened though.

Also, holy shit, horrible mashup, the Chrono Trigger song doesn't fit that song at all.
