For the price of a chicken sandwich, Israel can send in provacateurs to commit some act to justify their tyranny. And you people all buy it every single time, no matter how many times, no matter how many ways. You ALWAYS buy it. A L W A Y S. You have no idea how the world works. And you wonder why you are slowly losing everything...

The Palestinians seem to always provide the evidence to the contrary though.

Lol
I must be, because there is a spoiled Jewish kid screaming at me from his private school in Florida.

There is a lot of counties out there with problems with militants.

Israel was on fire when it was granted statehood.
Even with all its spy drones, defensive missiles, cameras, fences...
Israel cannot control gaza.

Besides, I think the UN will use their criteria and not yours and PJ's

Israel never wanted to control Gaza.
They want to ensure that Gaza is not going to be a thorn in their side by preventing Gaza from getting supplies that will increase the danger to the Israeli public.

If they wanted Gaza, they would have taken it easily.

They have demonstrated multiple times that they can roll through there at their leisure and have the Palestinians run to the UN for forgiveness..

I agree with Original Earl, there is almost nothing NON-Prof John sees clearly or interprets correctly.

But why should last weekends events be any different for the 63 prior years of Israeli Palestinian Tit for Tat Violence. As Israel tries to build a just Israel State on the quicksand base of Israeli theft and bigotry, which cannot long endure as the issue keeps being kicked ever further down the road. But this time Israel over reacted, instead of just killing innocent Palestinians they killed innocent Egyptians instead.

But even then, the Israelis and the Palestinians come into the 9/20/2011 UN Security council and subsequent General assembly vote on Palestinian Statehood, both on probation, and its sure not time for Israel to engage in its SOP massive overkill collective punishment War Crimes. As for Hamas, ill equipped to deal with other fringe terror groups, they are trying to lay low too.

My prediction the new found status quo may last another few days or maybe a whole week, before there is another incident, there always is. 63 years and counting, can we forever keep kicking the can down the road?

I'm not aware of any other country that has problems with their own population bombarding their neighbors with katyusha rockets and mortars.

Lol
Ok, i will even narrow down to your katyusha rockets and mortars criteria.
There is a thread here on the PKK.
Read it, and tell me what is going on with that.

Why do Palestinian terror groups climb over each other to claim responsibility for each and every Israeli civilian that is killed?

Or we could talk about Chechnya. They and the Russians have been at a slow boil for almost 200 years now.

Hijacking the thread to let the Palestinians off the hook?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clearly a nerve has been struck in EK, as he tried use the same stunt to use the PKK to hijack blame away from Israel.

But still three things to say.

1. At the same time Israel lost its only semi mid-east allies in Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey in the remarkably short time of one basic year, at the same time, this forum has shifted at the same time. In 2005, almost everyone on this forum supported Israel almost 95+%, and while I would still still say Israel enjoys a majority on this forum, Israeli actions are increasingly called into question. So we can ask how much longer will it take before Israel has only minority support on this forum? And because this is a USA dominated forum, the same shift may extend to the larger US government.

2. There will be a UN vote regarding Palestinian Statehood likely to come on 9/20/2011, in first the security council and later the general assembly. Even if Israel and the US can't prevent a Palestinian State in 2011, its still likley going to dangerously isolate Israel and more importantly the USA. Nor will the issue go away, its going to keep coming back stronger.

3. In many ways, I somewhat have to admire the rear guard actions of Bozo Netanyuhu, he is a very clever propagandist who still enjoys bare majority support in Israel. But still most Israeli voters and political parties know his tactics can't last much longer, and very soon, I think a majority of Israeli voters will accept a Palestinian State. So getting rid or totally dope slapping Netanyuhu may be a required step.
