I have spent a nice chunk of change on diamonds in that time frame.

It looks like you have to mail-in your receipt and precise diamond description for any individual stone/jewelry piece that cost you more than $10k.

If I really do get 50% of my purchase price back I am going to be sending the Op something nice...

Hmm, they may ask for a receipt, but will also accept appraisals.

I could only find the receipt for my wedding set, but I (under)guestimated the rest of my stuff. If they ask for receipts, maybe I can run and get 'em appraised. At least I have the receipt for the big money item.
