*shrug* it's on par to having a trophy if you considered college to be a challenge or something to be proud of. I considered getting into and graduating from my alma mater an accomplishment so i hang my diploma with pride. its in my room so its not really flaunting it for anyoneOriginally posted by: jagec

I can't believe you guys that are saying you don't have it framed because it isn't important. Look at your weekly paycheck, then look at what it would be if you were working for minimum wage. The difference is that little piece of paper you care so little about and the process you went through to get it. Displaying it is not a vanity thing, it's a symbol that you've paid your dues and are qualified to have the job you do. I'm not saying you have to give $200 for a frame, but at least shell out $10-20 at Wal-mart and hang the thing on the wall!!!
The piece of paper means nothing. If someone steals it, I don't have to go to college for 4 more years to get it back. The knowledge and accreditation is what matters. THAT is what's important.
I have yet to take a job which asked me to bring in my framed diploma to prove that I have a degree.
