The piece of paper means nothing. If someone steals it, I don't have to go to college for 4 more years to get it back. The knowledge and accreditation is what matters. THAT is what's important.

I have yet to take a job which asked me to bring in my framed diploma to prove that I have a degree.

*shrug* it's on par to having a trophy if you considered college to be a challenge or something to be proud of. I considered getting into and graduating from my alma mater an accomplishment so i hang my diploma with pride. its in my room so its not really flaunting it for anyone

Bought a $20 frame for my BBA but never put in the frame.

Bought a $150 from my school for my MBA and framed it.

My AA is its flipbook/case thing the school gives you for it when you walk at commencement. It sits in my master document box, ie the thing I take with me if a fire breaks out, has my passport, etc.

My BA will probably be in a similar book/case thing and will stay in the same spot.

My JD (admission pending, lol), might get framed, but my MBA (again, admission pending), will go in the box.

I got both of mine framed for ~$80. What do they do? Sit under some papers on my desk. I always thought hanging them in your office looks kind of dorky.

A job I had years ago paid for framing my degrees so I could hang 'em on my office wall and look snooty. I've since lost track of where those suckers are. Probably in the attic.

Que? You think the diploma is important? Did you show it to your boss? I think not. In fact, if you have to rely on showing anyone the diploma, I think you failed your education.

Framing a degree seemed like a nice idea at first, but then I realized I would feel pretty dumb if someone who had accomplished a lot more than me came in and saw it there.
