i got double charged for the little dirt devil vacuum that was selling for $9.99. apparently it's easy to get past that dude at the front door that checks your receipt.

Technically yes you did steal it. Personally I would go back in notify them of what happened and how it happened and they may let you keep it for that price. I have morals higher than some I suppose.

That's what my sisters said. They had no trouble getting any of the tools they went to Sears for. The crowds everywhere were pretty thin.

Ummm, I read his post as he got double charged for the item, meaning he paid twice for one thing. Maybe I'm wrong but i dont think he is boasting about his ripoff of a handheld vac.

I think he is saying that he accidentally got charged for the vacuum twice instead of one vacuum and one DVD-R.

If it were me, I would have probably said something at the register. But if I didn't notice until I got home, then too bad. I am sure as hell not going back to tell them they made a mistake, ESPECIALLY on a day like today.
