I was 19 had all 4 removed at once. They did what they called "Twilight Sleep" where I had an injection and gas. They injected me then had me count back from ten to one. I remember saying "Tehhhhh" and woke up on the car ride home. I remember nothing in between but clearly I was able to get in the car and such.

When you have it done, be sure they give you a syringe and blunt needle for cleaning out the holes. I ran into a chick that just had hers done and all were infected because they only told her to rinse. YOu need to clean them holes out good or you're fucked.

Yeah. I got what they call dry socket once. That shit nearly made me kill myself. The pain is so freaking bad.

Had four pulled last summer, three of which had to be surgically removed. Gave me a local and that was about it. I'll never forget the sound of my own tooth being drilled into, broken and ripped out.

I was awake and had local my mouth numbed when they took mine out. It was interesting hearing the noises of my teeth being yanked out and one being sectioned into a few pieces so that it could be removed.

Oddly enough I would go through it awake again.

The only downside was the no alcohol for a few days to avoid dry socket which since I read about it I'm glad didn't happen. Interesting things happen when you take a percocet and drink a beer.

Update: just got them pulled out today. Had laughing gas, a sedation pill, and local anesthesia. Did not fall asleep. Was awake the whole time.

Very interesting experience. The bottom ones were harder to pull out and were at times a little painful. The top ones barely need any drilling. In fact, one of them didn't even need drilling at all.

No. Every other year or so they ask me if I want to though. They don't really bother me but maybe once every 5 years or so.

Yep. All four just after my 21st birthday. I looked like a mafiaoso for a while after. I'd take a few days off of work.

You don't have to get under for it either... You can be awake. It takes <1 hour for most (from what I understand).

Got mine out at 14 or 15 (seriously). Got local anesthetic and had them set up a mirror so I could watch, was really cool. Though I'll never forget the scent of burning tooth enamel. Also afterward I thought I was doing good and wouldn't need pain killers. They gave me a couple tylenol and told me that I could not take pain killers for 6 hours after the tylenol. No one realized it but the anesthesia hadn't worn off entirely yet. It wore off about 20 minutes later and I had to wait 6 hours to get my fucking pain killers.

How did my mom help? She mixed up some baby food for me. Sounds great right? Yeah I put it in my mouth and started screaming blue murder. I asked what the fuck she put in the baby food. "Garlic powder...to make it more palatable". Are you fucking kidding me?
