I had planned on not going my senior year but a friend of mine tricked me into it. I had a date and everything, rented the tux and all. I went and cancled my tux rental and told my date and my friend that tricked me into going that i wasnt going. I stayed home and watched TNA wrestling instead. I don't like modern music, or the whole dress up dancing stuff. I also don't like spending several hundred dollars on ****** that I hate doing.

My younger brother told me that my high school has pretty much done away with dances. No one goes to them anymore.

I didn't go, and I don't regret not going. I didn't ask anybody to the Prom either, so it wasn't a case of rejection kept me away. I think of Prom as more of a big night for girls, and a night where guys "sometimes" get lucky.

I went senior year. It was ok, kinda awkward. I was suppose to go with the guy I was seeing, but like a week before prom we broke up and he said he didn't want to go. What a jerk I tell ya. But anyhow, my friend didn't have a date so I asked him if he wanted to go. So we went. It was just kinda strange cause i was still getting over what had happened and it was hard to be there with this guy that was just a friend, but totally liked me. But it was fun. Getting all dressed up was cool. Never really got to do it again in college because I went to a private school that didn't allow dancing. Boy was it rough for those 4 years of college.

Nope. Our school pulled some stupid garbage with its country music theme, very strict dress codes, and most of the student body was mad anyway because over half our transcripts were sent out with incorrect GPA's. It was a class of around 1100, and apparently only about 300 went.

Didn't go to junior prom, don't regret it whatsoever. Senior prom is coming up in just over a month and being held at some huge hotel, I'm being dragged down there by my girlfriend.

I really dislike all the people in my class and the class below me (our junior and senior proms are combined.. not sure if thats normal or not), I really don't want to shell out $80 for a ticket and more for a tux rental, but at least the limo is free (its nice to know people sometimes).

I hate formal occasions, but the girls all seem to love them for some damn reason.
