Did you go to Prom?

I went 3 times... JR and SR years, and freshman year of college. I actualy got asked by 4 girls at 4 dif schools that last year but I only went with one.

I am a self proclaimed nerd/geek and didn't really like large groups of people at that stage in my life but if you have a group friends who go too, its quite an experience!

My first 2 years of HS I didn't go to any dances or anything but by Junior year I went to everything including prom and I had fun. At the time I was sorry I missed out my first 2 years, but now (11 years later) it really doesn't make any difference.

I skipped prom and went straight to the drinking.

That ended the relationship I was in at the time real quick.

I didn't go. Not one female ask me. But, yet, I seen those same females walking around asking all the guys to go with them. Every dood, except me. I actually had no females friends in school, since most of the females were either pregnant or abortition bound anyway. I figure, the females are asking the doods, why doesn't anyone ask me? I wasn't about to play Cat & mouse with some females that didn't want to go with me anyway.

Considering I never had a girlfriend. It all falls into place now.

Do I regret it? No.

No, I didn't go and had no regrets.

Instead of paying for a ticket ($100), renting or buying a suit ($100+), a corsage for the girl (how much are they?) ... instead I hung out with my girl and some friends to a pizza dinner and a movie - we only spent like less than $100 for dinner and movie.

I think of prom for those that intend not to attend college. Why waste money on prom? If you're definitely going to college, use the money for something else like a new car or something. Getting my college diploma was the real treat.

At my high school, prom was kinda a last hurrah for those not going or not going to complete college. Graduation is where all of us forward lookers went and partied afterwards.

Yes, at our school pretty much everyone went. If you missed it, you were missing out on one hell of a night. But not really more than that.

went to some stupid thing sort of like a mini-prom in 10th grade by myself, bought a suit (that i wore once). sat by myself the whole evening. waste of time and money. someone must have felt sorry for me because like the last song of the dance one of the more popular girls actually danced with me.
