Did you go to Prom?

I went junior and senior year....just take a girl you're freinds with if you don't have a gf, or just go stag, or with friends. it's FUN. Especially if you don't take it too seriously,and the memories last forever. I had a great time at both of mine.

I went... It was okay, but both of us could have found something better to do that evening.

The only fun part was the party afterwords, and it didn't cost us any money as the prom did...

I didn't go to prom... I was too shy and therefore couldn't find myself a date...and the few guy friends I had either had girlfriends or already found dates.

So...yea. I regret not going to this day..but I guess I can find solace in the fact that i didn't have to spend money on a dress and hair and makeup..and I still got to leave school early anyway with the rest of the "prom crowd". What I really hated though was that my parents were too strict (still are) to let me go to the after-prom party down the shore. BLAH.

This not only means he can't get a date, it means he's not a clubber. He doesn't dance, he doesn't party, he doesn't know what to do at social gatherings...

This not only means he can't get a date, it means he's not a clubber. He doesn't dance, he doesn't party, he doesn't know what to do at social gatherings...

There are other types of social gatherings outside of clubs and griding on some random ho's ass.

I'm not a clubber, and I don't dance (well, I'll slow dance with my wife) but I can handle myself just fine in social situations.

Didn't go cause I hated my high school...it was full of morons and dumb people make me physically ill.
Didn't go to graduation either and I was 3rd in my class, I probably would've been 1st if I didn't get a D in gym.

No, I didn't. Both my girlfriend and I couldn't afford it and neither of us had much desire to go. We went out on our own date that day and night. We had a great time and I've got some good memories. I don't regret missing prom.

I went to my boyfriends senior prom, but the next yr we didn't go to mine. IMO, it was overrated. I spent a great deal of money between dress/hair/limo, and just for my school - everything was so strict. You maybe had 20 minutes of actual dance time then EVERYTHING else was you had to sit and listen to speeches/awards being presented blah blah blah..

..save the money from skipping prom and go have a fun after party where you can be yourself and more comfortable in your clothes.

I'm not a party person. But all three were lots of fun. An experience I definitely wouldn't give up.

What else are you going to do? Go home and play video games? It's a once in a lifetime thing, don't miss out on the memories.
