If I looked like that I'd probably be bitter at life too. She probably took her lack of any action in college out on the players.

He had to go after her like that because if he got up in her face in some hallway like she deserved he'd be crucified for attacking a female reporter or something. It's a shame really, she needed some expletives thrown her way on top of the verbal beatdown.
I'd send my son play for him anyday. He cares about and protects his players. He knows that they are 19 and 20 year old kids.

Gundy is in over his head. He isn't head coaching material and is going down faster than a drunk cheerleader on prom night.

I can't see how you consider that luck.. all 49 points were lucky? If so, what were the points scored by TT? Pure athletic ability backed by coaching? By coach that never played football, but was a lawyer?
I'm not discounting Leach's coaching, which has been great over the years, but I'm discounting that you would consider a 49 pt performance luck. A large majority of college scores are "lucky". That's what happens when you have kids playing a game.

19 and 20 year olds aren't kids. KIDS are kids. If you have children that age, or know any, you're not doing them any favors by coddling them with that attitude.

the point was that there's no reason for an adult and a professional newspaper to trash talk a 19-20 year old.

He sounds right on to me.
Yup, totally non-psychotic delivery.
No, really; absolutely not fukking nuts at all.
I didn't say his delivery was right on, you fuckwit.
Fuckwit?
What is this, psycho field trip day?

I want to be in the locker room at halftime with him when they are getting killed. That would be fun.

He was coddling. I don't think you'd see a 1950's college football coach sticking his neck out quite that far for his player over a newspaper article. Sure, the article may have went too far, and sure it likely upset the kid's mother, but I've read that this "kid's" teammates have even commented on how spoiled this kid is.Originally posted by: mpitts

He wasn't "coddling" anyone. He was protecting his player.

Gundy's rant was too long. He was repeating himself over and over. I think the rant wasn't just about the newspaper article, but included some venting for some other pent up frustration he has.

Good for Mike Gundy. I read the article and Jenny Carlson is clearly a classless piece of shit who was apparently sick the day they taught ethics at college. Assuming she even attended college that is. That article was so poorly written it really makes me doubt that she did.
I love the losers who are posting here and attacking Reid/sticking up for Carlson as well. First off, congratulations on being walking pieces of crap. Second, what's funnier than a bunch of nerds, most of whom probably still live in their mothers basements, attacking a college football player. The answer, by the way, is nothing.

I live in Stillwater, OK and I run into Mike every few days. He often shops at the supermarket where I work. I've got to say, as much as he is a local celebrity, hes also a very upstanding guy.
