This is just a question. My dad served as a medical techinician and a martial arts trainer in the Taiwanese military. It was a good experience for him although very harsh.
I have a lot of respect for the military, even when I don't agree with the war. It really straightened out some of my friends. And if it was ever needed, I would serve (maybe as a med technician or intelligence). Preferably Air Force because they treat you well there. But I am not against serving as a regular either.
I am pretty much a pacifist, though. My dad has taught me martial arts, but I always tend to deflect the hits rather than hurt someone else although I could, so I am not sure if the military would want me. But I have the agressive calculating type of mind, too, so who knows (I am brutal when it comes to strategy <chess, wei chi[GO]...>).
No Politics FLAMING, please. This is a geniune question. It would be cool to see your perspective. just got me thinking when I heard some of you guys served in the military.
