I was told that lots named brands PSU were manufacture by OEM, such as Ocz, TT, Vantec, Antec....etc, but most OEM name brands are still very popular cuz of their's stablity & quality, but does anyone know any PSU manufacture is not OEM?

thank you

OEM is not a company, it means original equipment manufacturer. Which means that another comapny made it and they (they being ANtec and such) put there name on it. Not one specific company but several manufacturers make OEM PSUs that are relabeled, also OEM is a term used for non-retail products, like CPUs they don't come in a shiny box with manuals because the were intended for OEMs (like HP and Dell). As for companies that make their own PSU's would be Enermax PC pwer and cooling, Sparkle, and a few others. I would double check on Antec though even if they don't make it themselves they must have an exclusive provider.

I don't think Enermax makes their own PSUs any more - they are mostly Channel Well (who also OEMs for Antec, Meridian/XClio, parts for PCP&C, etc.) now. Some other mfrs I know of are: Topower (OEMs for OCZ, etc), Zippy (also does some parts for PCP&C), Sirtec whose house brand is HighPower (OEMs for Thermaltake, Enlight, etc.), Delta, Seasonic, Fortron/Sparkle group (OEMs for AOpen and many others), ATNG/Coolmax (OEMs for Rosewill/Newegg and others), Enhance (OEMs for Silverstone, etc.) Real Power (OEMs for CoolerMaster, etc.)...

Is there a UL file number on your Turbolink? It should be right below the RU (UL certification symbol) and looks like E123456 - if there is I can probably look up who actually makes it. Also what is the model number of your Turbolink (e.g. one sparkle/fortron model no. would be FSP550-60PLG)?

some of the lesser known companies that sell in oem pcs. are companies like gvc, bestec etc. forton source, delta are some of the bigger names that dont really sell retail.

i wouldnt bet against foxconn having some sort of subsidiary that makes power supplies also.

enermax doesnt make their own psus im pretty sure. most of the "retail" type power supplies arent oem, since well they do not sell enough quantity to really justify making their own. i doubt pc power and cooling is either, they proably just have some special order from one of the mass quantity huge oems.

Nope, that is not the file number as a UL file number is the letter "E" followed by six numerals - I don't see one on there. It should be printed right below the RU symbol and there is nothing there. I'm wary if I see an RU symbol without the file number printed right below. About the only chance you might have of finding out who actually made that is to take it apart and scour over the PCB (printed circuit board) inside. Sometimes there is something printed on or etched into the PCB that will give a clue. I know that Channel Well, Fortron and Delta have clear markings on their PCBs.
. Or you can try to get hold of the Aspire/Turbocase company who they are made for and maybe they will tell you.

There's really nothing stopping any supplier form sending in their branded psu for certification, even if it was previously certified by the manufacturer and/or another supplier. Happens all the time...

I checked the UL number for Enermax, it's E134014. it's manufactured by Enermax not some OEM factories.

Just because Enermax did the cert doesn't mean they actually made the PSU. Most Enermax are made by Channel Well now as are most Antecs (who also do the cert themselves on their CWT PSUs), XClio, etc.
