First job, March of 1996 ... I just turned 16, made $4.50 per hour
I left that job and got my second job making $7.25 per hour about 6 months after that.

Currently I am not too satisfied with my salary, but at least it's in the $20+ per hour range. (and starting April 1st I'm getting a 3% increase for a lateral move I took 8 months before I was due for my next review/increase. I'll also get a review/increase in about 6 months (most likely another 3 to 5 percent depending upon my performance.)

Looking back at my pay, I'm not really any better off now than I was when I had my first job. Holding two jobs to make ends meet.

Saved more money working at McD than I do now, making two and half times now than I did back in 1997.

started at $10/hr as a part time mail room clerk in a prestigage lawfirm in 1985 in high school. that was like 3x minimum wage.

that was the standard rate they were paying. full timers got benefits.

obviously, getting jobs at that lawfirm required connections, which i had. father's friend was a partner at the firm

US Navy for 10 years was my first job.

Picking sweet corn on a local farm when I was 12 for $5/hr and also baling hay/straw for $5/hr. That was awesome money when you're 12.

Second Job: 14.50$
Third Job: 15.38$ up to 18.29$ over 1 year. Will get promoted to 20$ish per hour.
