Did you notice any difference in performance between 670 in SLI and a Titan? ie microstuttering, unsupported games, etc.

Currently benching my single Titan, just got done with the GTX 670SLI benches, then have to add the second Titan, lots of info to come up with but I'll have it eventually.

Man, brick and mortars in korea have all kinds of good stuff, you can't get crap in the local retailers in the US. Instead you get a whole bunch of low end crap for above market value (except at frys where you can get **some** good stuff)

By the way, even 2-Way SLI Titans still struggles with Crysis 3 at 2560x1600p.
Frame rate hovers well over 60 fps in many situations, but there also are many places where frame rate dips down to 30s and 40s.
This is with Crysis 3 at Very High + SMAA M-GPU (which basically is SMAAx4). I haven't tried TXAA, yet. But I'm sure it'll be worse than SMAA, performance-wise.

Crysis 3 is def melting PCs like Yerli said it would, but the jump in actual graphics isn't that great imo.

Considering how fast they've sold out everywhere, I would say it's a safe bet to assume there are a lot of people as financially irresponsible as us

Are you going to put them under water?

Yup, for sure. Even though there are likely not many gains to be had because of TDP cap, I still do really like having a quiet computer now. If there ever is a BIOS that unlocks the TDP cap for Titan like there is for GK104 based cards, I may actually see some tangible gains.

I have my fingers crossed for that as the guy who made the unlocker for GK104 BIOS is working on trying to get it going for Titan currently.

My cards get here tomorrow and I won't even be able to use them for a few weeks. My computer is in pieces until I can get waterblocks, backplates and the EK bridging system for the Titans. Guess I will just stare at them :| I could always put one in my wife's C2D e6400 system

I know you are joking, but it would be kind of cool to see how Titan performed in an older system like your wife's system.

TXAA is supposed to offer less of a performance impact with a similar quality AA level. Give it a shot. My fps went up a few frames when I switched from SMAA 1x to TXAA medium. Try and see what happens.

I actually will be doing that to make sure neither of the cards is DOA. I have BF3 on her computer, but the game is so CPU limited that it runs like a total dog. Her computer has a 1.2ghz 7950 in it with the 3.2ghz e6400 and 64player BF3 even on low settings @ 2560x1600 sees 30fps with 20fps dips on a 64 player server.

I'd need to find a game that is not too CPU limited to try and bench a Titan in there with.

There are a couple other threads about the Titan, but they are about oc performance and reviews, I want to know, as there seems to be a surprising amount of people, how many of us bought a Titan, from where, how much did you pay and how many ? Also, did you sit online and spam F5 to find them in stock ? What's your Titan story.

If this was a thread about 7770's nobody would care, but as this is being marketed as a truly non-mainstream luxury type card, I think the information would be intersting to see listed out. If there are 10 people here at Anandtech who have ordered this card, it would be impressive to say the least, but I have a feeling it may even be more.

I purchased two Titans, both from newegg, for about a grand a piece.

At first I only wanted one, so I pre-ordered the Asus from newegg. A day or two after, Amazon started taking pre-orders for Titans, I then pre-orderd another, thinking that whichever one still wasn't in stock when the other shipped I would cancel the order on.

Then the EVGA models came IN STOCK at newegg, so I quickly ordered one, so, at one point in time I had 3 Titans ordered :awe:

Stupidly, I tried to order another EVGA Titan, assuming the order went through, I cancelled my other two pre-orders from the Egg and Amazon. I was then informed that I could not purchase two of the same item.

Lame.

However, the very next day the egg had more EVGA's in stock, this time the oc editions, I ordered one before newegg could even update the product image on their webpage. Both cards one day shipping, and I have yet to install them, they are just sitting here 2 feet away from me on my desk

Definately not worth what I put myself through!

What's your story ?

Edit: I'll keep this post updated to keep track of people who bought.

Deltaechoe (1) EVGA Titan, from Tiger Direct.
Annisman (2) EVGA Titans, from Newegg.
Eymar (2) EVGA Titans, from Newegg.
Dookey (2) EVGA Titans, from Newegg.
Grooveriding (2) EVGA Titans, from Newegg.CA
PowerK (2) Gigabyte Titans, from local store (S Korea)
Lavaheadache (1) EVGA Titan

Amazing guys. Yall are rich LOL. I think Deltaaechoe is the smart one here. You dont need to SLI right away. First use one, and see how it is and you might see you dont even need SLI.. gl...

A guy at OCN did some benchmark comparisons with overclocked 680 SLI vs. overclocked Titan SLI.
(I seem to recall this guy did some interesting PCI-E 2.0 vs. PCI-E 3.0 comparison benchmarks on 680 4-Way SLI early last year.)
http://www.overclock.net/t/1363440/nvidia-geforce-gtx-titan-owners-club/1260_20#post_19409831
Overall about 34% average improvement over overclocked 680 SLI.

SLI scaling with titan seems disappointing. A single titan has a larger performance gap between it and gtx680 than sli'd configs. Wonder why that is.

That 680 is at 1380 core. A 680 at that clock with a Titan at that clock, both single, should show a similar difference.
