I find it funny how people are spending $2K on SLI Titans with the rest of their system costing much less than that.

By the way, even 2-Way SLI Titans still struggles with Crysis 3 at 2560x1600p.
Frame rate hovers well over 60 fps in many situations, but there also are many places where frame rate dips down to 30s and 40s.
This is with Crysis 3 at Very High + SMAA M-GPU (which basically is SMAAx4). I haven't tried TXAA, yet. But I'm sure it'll be worse than SMAA, performance-wise.

Are there ropes on screen during the drops?

I ordered an EVGA SC but I botched it and ordered through Amazon to get the $3 Prim one-day shipping. Even though it said "in stock" at the time they are now telling me that their distributor can't get the card so I'm in limbo.

One evga titan, from newegg. I had asus preordered on day 1, but when evga popped in stock next day, I quickly snagged it and cancelled asus preorder. $1026 with next day shipping.

Driving one 2560x1440, and since I personally dislike multi gpu, I always opt for fastest single one.

Very pleased, so far am running 1124c/3248 mem and its 45%-50% faster than my old 680 @ 1306c

I can raise memory to 3400 stable, but card throttles more. With 3250 I have core pegged to 1124 in most demanding games almost constantly, apart from few dips here and there. And it's on stock volts.

Saw one at Micro Center today. Didn't buy it. I don't want to sit on one card for who knows how long before other cards are available. Don't want to downgrade from two 690s to one Titan. If there was two, I might have bought them. Ideally, I want to get at least three of them total.

My statement from earlier today about people spending much more on these cards than the rest of their system is worth seem very appropriate now. I'm all for people buying whatever the hell they want, but even this has me questioning a few things.

The Nvidia hype machine for this halo card must have put people into buying trance. Nvidia's marketing methods deserve to be researched and studied.

I'm still toying with it. I trade airline points for amazon gift cards. Right now I'm sitting on enough for 1, but a single one is a downgrade. If I don't have anything I really want from amazon before I have another grand saved up in gift cards (2-3 months out, or maybe 1-1.5 since I think the double points promotion is still on), I might get 2.

I travel for work and net about %15 of the fare back in gift cards via the points. Right now it's absurd and 30%. THe airline can't be making money giving me $300 back on a $1k fare.

A bit more than 4. They are for storing a few games I've collected over the years.

There are a few reasons that will allow me to refute your claims about my sensibilities in buying this card.

1. This is meant not only to be a GPU replacement (and totally happy with it's performance so far after running through the benchmarks) but also for CUDA optimized computation that I didn't quite need a tesla for but other cards that are DP cut just don't cut the mustard

2. Wanted decent performance out of a single GPU

3. This is stage one of my 2013 upgrade, which is the plan for a full system upgrade

So before you guys dump all over my fun, consider that some people take 1k investments seriously and think about them. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase
