It did help my critical thiking and comprehension skills to a completely new level - but as a "it's on a resume" type qualification, then no.

had 3.5 GPA in computers science from UT, got hired by lockheed to be a programmer a semester before graduation

and thats what ive been doing for the last year and a half

Yes. Damned if I remember much or used much of what I was taught though. Most everything I've learned has been from on the job.

I work for Northrop doing software work, just got hired over the summer. I'd say either of these companies would be quite fun to work for anyone in the computer industry.

Nope, not really. I had to have a degree to get my job, but it really doesn't matter what the degree is in.

Well... I'm studying Electrical Engineering....and I've got a position lined up for my co-op work term at a Hydro company, so I'd say it's working to say the least...
