Without a doubt. Which explains why I see Burlington County, NJ as the epicenter of good driving and as you radiate out, everyone gets stupider and stupider

Michigan is far worse than Ohio. They whine and complain about getting ticketed for going 85-90 on a road marked 65. Michigan is 10 over in the slow lane, no signals for lane changes, tailgaters. basically a PITA.

I'm not surprised. Funny how all the yankees come down south and complain that nobody knows how to drive, yet their own states are the top offenders.
I'm in N.C, and the main reason that nobody knows how to drive here anymore is all the yankees that have moved here.

Yankees?

Are we still fighting the Civil War?

Apparently, a few southerners still believe so.

I can recall a situation back in college where our whole college baseball team was traveling down to a tournament at Chowan college in NC. On one of our various food stops in Virginia, the bus pulls into the parking lot making a left-hand turn. Apparently a man proceeding in the opposite direction felt that the turn was too close and cut him off. He starts shaking his fist and proceeds to follow the bus into the parking lot, get out of his pickup while screaming some more profanities. Our two coaches ask us to stay in the bus while they go and handle the situation, which quickly seems to be getting out of control. At this point the whole team exits the bus and very quickly this guy does a 180 and starts back to his truck while screaming something about " you damn yankees".

That, the three crosses on a lawn and a bunch of college girls staying at our hotel were the highlights of the trip. Obviously, we didn't fare too well in the tournament.

I hate you Ohio!
I hate you Maryland!
I hate you New Jersey!
At least Ohio's taxes are reasonable. I worked while I was here at university in Pittsburgh and both the city and the state are royally screwing me in taxes. If I had made exactly the same money in Ohio, I would be getting a refund. PA is making me pay. I'm sorry, but I made $2,000 from a part-time job to cover basic expenses (on full scholarship, don't need more money than that) and PA is still taking money from me. It's absolutely absurd.

I remember sometime right after they made that a law I was driving south on the 55 and noticed NOONE was driving in the left lane even though there was a lot of traffic (rush hour, outbound on a friday). It was kinda wierd but I don't think its actively inforced.

CA #3??? I guess people are pissed about the traffic jams. I personally think NY taxi drivers should be #1.

IMO, cabbies in NY are aggressive, but they aren't particularly dangerous. Here in MA there are people who drive in two lanes all the time, swerve in and out of lanes, and are terribly dangerous. I've never felt the same way in NY...

I live in FL. I have to say:

Many Floridians are from the North East (NY, NJ, MA). Many are also retired, drive big cars, and can't see very well and have slow reaction times. Mix that with young, impatient, next genners (like myself) and a bunch of immigrants who can't (yet) read english and it's the worst place to drive in my opinion.

I've been to Cali, and a few other states above, and I still put FL on top of the list.

in the lower half of the state of FL you only get elderly by the beaches or in the retirement homes. beyond that Miami & Hialeah are some of the worst areas in south FL, imagine a 30 minute drive to get 10 miles on a highway thats not in rush hour either

The drivers in MA don't seem that bad. The local population takes great pride in it though, so they exaggerate it a lot. They do use their horns a lot thugh.

People talk about how Florida is bad for Elderly drivers, but Alabama has a higher % per capita of the Elderly with their licenses.

Hah, this is an opinion poll? Of course people would think NYers are bad drivers, but I'll be damned if that's true (as a NYer myself.) NY drivers are crazy, but they're always in control, unlike their NJ counterparts.

I'm surprised that Louisiana isn't up there. Those others have to be some baaaad states, because most of us from the cajun land can't drive for crap.

yup, #7.. but this is one of the worst poll's i've ever seen. retarded. everyone is going to vote for the state they live in, cuz they LIVE there!

each voter would have to spend equal driving time on varying types of roads in all 50 states to make even close to a fair vote.

Texas is only 8th. Noone from the Houston area must have voted. What other city do drivers make their own on and off ramps to major highways?
