Like the last deal I posted, this purveyor is censored by our filter, but it is Localprice.com with the 'L' replaced by an 'F.' Just replace the asterisks in the url with the result.

The watch features a genuine leather band, and there is a strong possibility that it is indeed a genuine Fossil brand watch. It is also formally listed as a men's watch, which brings me to the controversy surrounding my previously posted watch deal:

There was highly understandable controversy as to whether that Swatch deal I posted was, indeed, a Men's watch.

Judge for yourself below. At the very least, it is unisex. Hey, I'm confident enough in my sexuality to wear it. You?

That Swatch next to a woman's Seiko.

A bunch of my men's watches -- Seiko, Skaagen, Bulova -- hanging out with one Seiko woman's watch.

Back to THIS Fossil deal. Unlike the last one, this is formally listed as a man's watch. Also, as discussed during the last deal, there is a STRONG possibility that this watch is indeed a genuine Fossil and not a rip off, much as the Swatch was, as the low end varieties of each brand are produced in China.

Superfluous side stories: The face of the Bulova at the far right of the lineup in the second pic link has an interesting history.

The pics I posted are crappy and do not do justice, imho, to the elegant simplicity and inexpensive but not cheap construction of the Swatch. It's the best $3.75 watch you could possibly hope for. If you like the looks/design of the Fossil, it may be an even better deal!

As you can see, I am far from a high-end watch connoisseur. I paid $25 shipped each for both Skaagens and the Bulova way back in the day using those $75 off $100 hot deals coupons from a formerly more exclusive watch site, the name of which escapes me.

Got the men's Seiko on sale from Macy's with a $100 gift cert I won in a raffle. You get the idea.

As you can also see, I personally prefer clean, "elegant" designs to the fussy and ponderous, SUV-sized, tiny penis compensators that might also tell the time favored by so many others.

I will stop blathering now.

I'm confident enough in my sexuality to wear assless chaps and lipstick.

Seriously though, I'll have to check this out when I go home. I'm tired of using my cell phone as a pocketwatch.

Did a mod just post a link to a store that's blocked by AT? I think so... and I find that funny.

It's blocked because, in the past, a number of spam boyz were promoting it and we wanted to easily sabotage their efforts.

However, there is nothing wrong with the basic integrity of the site itself. I have bought from them several times before and I would again.

Pic of Diesel watch on sale this weekend, in case you're confused by my long-winded Swatch diversion in the OP:

Yeah, I'm not getting one myself, but I thought it a dadgum decent deal for those who cotton to the design.

Wouldn't be too bad if the bezel (is it a bezel on a watch?) wasn't so massive

Hello, a long time lurker here. I signed up just to reply.

Your OP is quite confusing. Title talks about a 'Diesel' watch, but then actual post talks about 'Fossil' all along. Also the link didn't work as you instructed it. Fortunately I find the exact deal via googling the model number: 'YW938B'.

And this isn't the 'Diesel' jeans brand watch... it's an imitation 'Diesel Time' brand.

You got me all excited for a moment.

You seem to have confused yourself, as I thought the OP made fine sense. "Diesel Time" seems to be the name of the watch, but it's made by Fossil. The entire OP talked about how it seems to be a genuine Fossil made watch and not a knockoff. He never mentioned the Diesel jeans brand, so you made that up yourself. It's not an imitation of Diesel jeans because it never was associated with that brand. In case you don't know, the word "diesel" is used in many product names and is even a type of fuel. Do truckers fill their fuel tanks with an imitation of Diesel jeans? No... so don't assume when you see a common word that they're the same thing.

That's how I understand it anyway.

Oh I see. Sorry about that, OP.

But as for the Fossil brand 'Diesel Time' watch, you'd be a fool to deny this is trying to imitate the Diesel brand watch.

Well, in the third post Perk does refer to it as a "Diesel" watch. It's not unreasonable to assume that "Diesel" is shorthand for "Diesel Jeans" since Diesel Jeans makes watches in styles similar styles. Also, based on the pic, the watch doesn't say fossil anywhere on it.

Wow! I seem to have an absolute talent for inciting controversy around sub 'Fo dollah' watches.

Shipped.

Can you even get a Happy Meal for that? :hmm:

Heck it's $4. In for one. I like Fossil watches but this looks a bit bulky and obtrusive.

In for 1 as my normal fossil or whatever typical $80-150 watches seem to last only 1-2 years before the band or face breaks.
