Difference between MP and MPX

Just wondering what is the differences between the dual AMD MP and MPX chipsets.

The MP supports 64bit 33MHz PCI slots while the MPx support 64bit 66MHz. The slots in the MP boards are backwards compatible with all standard 32bit 33MHz PCI cards while the MPx slots aren't. Performance of the the 2 chipsets is practically identical.

And they changes the the power connectors to a ATX standard 2.03(p4 style). Also i think with the MPX chipset AMD fixed the usb issue they had with the MP and thats why there was no usb ports on the original mp board execpt with an addin card that some board manufactures shippes

USB works fine on MP boards. The USB problem occurred in the first run of MPx boards. USB should work in all current revisions of MPx boards.
