I find it being on a Czech site to be funny. The International Obesity Task Force rates them as having a bigger problem regarding fat people than the US.
Much of Europe is facing an obesity epidemic of their own. In some countries, obesity rates are rising faster than the US and will soon catch up.
The obesity epidemic is NOT exclusive to the US. It will (and has) hit every industrialized nation that converts to a sedentary lifestyle and a service oriented economy. The US was merely the first nation to do so. Diet has very little to do with it. And any problems with diet are caused by the sedentary lifestyle (people are more likely to munch and eat more when they are sitting and laying around all day).
Europeans do walk and ride their bikes a LOT more than Americans do...instead of riding in their big SUVs, they get a lot of daily exercise by necessity.
