Ok, I'm thinking of buying this Minolta DiImage 2300 camera. Anyone have any opinions on it? I was also wondering, can you bring the compact flash to camera stores and have them print it on nice paper for u?
Thats a deciding factor for me, thanx.

I don't know about the camera, but you can search for reviews on it using Google.

As for your other question, you can upload the images to the servers of some compagnies, which will then print out for you and then either deliver it to you or you can pick them up yourself.

Hey Santa brought me the Fuji FinePix 4800 Zoom. After some research I found that these Fuji's get good reviews. Well this Camera is absolutly amazing. Small light, nice LCD, nice zoom, awesome pictures past 1600x1200. It will take nice long videos... comes w/ a 16mb card. Battery last's for a couple hours- its recharable. It will also act as a Webcam I am told. The software is awesome.. uses a USB connection and its very "smart". Works well w/ XP Pro and ME (The two machines I have it setup on at home) Anyway, I'm not sure of the exact price range you want.. but look around for this one if the specs sound like something your interested in...

I've also heard bad things about the Minolta Dimage cameras, I'd stick with a Canon or a Nikon branded camera.

BTW...i got a Canon S110 for around $220 in the hot deals forum. I'm thinking about egaying it and buying a Nikon 885. What do you guys think?

i got the Olympus c2100uz. Great camera. Has SLR features, but also a great auto mode. 10x OPTICAL Zoom. Good quality night shots so far. It takes SM cards, though.

I'm sure this Minolta camera has some nice features. For the money I would check out the Olympus line of cameras. Even better is to go over the camera forums where you can get all sorts of feed back on many cameras including Minolta. Have fun.

You can buy an excellent photo printer for less than $200 (Epson's rule), then using photo paper you will get prints that rival photofinishing places. Inkjet technology has come a long way.

I would suggest shopping around for a comparable Canon, Nikon or Olympus. You'll save the most if you search the Hot Deals forum here and have an American Express Blue credit card which has a BVG (Best Value Guarantee) which can save you up to $250 per purchase.

People have gotten in on some pretty incredible deals like the super sweet Canon S110 for $219 I think.

I have a Kodak DX3900 which is one of the least expensive 3.1 MegaPixel cameras you can get... I like this camera alot so far... only thing I wish it had was an included rechargeable battery. I gotta buy one... but other than that.. great price on a 3.1MP camera which takes great pics and a very nice clear LCD screen... I like.
