Digital Photo frame w/ wifi?

I've been seeing a few wifi enabled digital photo frames around lately, though their descriptions seem to be vague.

I'm looking for one that can connect to a wireless network, and be accessed from the web to add new pictures to the rotation.

The ideal situation being so that my brothers and I, who are becoming increasingly spread out around the country, can upload photos to the picture frame sitting in our parents living room.

I've seen the Kodak Easyshare one, but a review I read seems to indicate that you have to use the remote to view pictures from your online Kodak gallery, and it doesn't sync on its own.

Any input?

EDIT: Anything that uses an RSS feed to display its pictures would also be suitable.

I havea 10" iMate Momento (from Woot.com for $130 in April 2008).

Based on my experience, I would recommend that you get a picture frame that is supported by FrameChannel.Com and then use that. That will slurp up photos from Picasa, Flickr and other sites automagically and you can even have whitelisted (people you pre-approve) email photos to the picture frame.

Create a login at Framechannel and take a look around, but it's a pretty cool website.

Regardless of whether you go with Framechannel, anything on their list will support RSS. Click on the links at the bottom of their website to see supported frames.

The Momento was a nice frame. I'd recommend it - particularly if you can get it for that price. It doesn't support WPA2, but does support WEP and WPA. They route everything through their website (so you link the frame to their site, and then from imate's site you link to Framechannel). I've always been vaguely worried about what would happen to the frame if iMate's site disappeared (ie. they went out of business). Their randomization algorithm is a little weird - sometimes it completely ignores new stuff, sometimes it shows it rarely and sometimes it updates to new pictures right away. I could never figure it out.

I gave the frame to my mother for Mother's day and we used it extensively when my wife and my daughters and my sister and I were travelling through Europe over the summer. One night, I emailed a photo taken on my iPhone while we had dinner in a small restaurant in Prague to the frame and my mother saw it as she was having breakfast (9 hour time difference) and she SMS'd me that she saw the update from 2 minutes ago and we took another one of us waving and with a sign that said "Wish you were here" and emailed that and it updated a few minutes later. It was a neat thing.

That said, we have all sort of fallen out of vogue with it and I haven't updated anything in a while and my mother doesn't mention it much nowadays.

I never even knew this type of thing existed. Might be a good gift idea for my mom though...

how does a digiframe work??
does it play all the files? can you create folders and it will play from the chosen folders?
for instance, i just want to view my "vegas trip from 2008"... later on, my "trip in mexico"

im actually more tempted to buy a cheap photo frame and hacked it to use as a secondary display... so i can watch stock on the small screen n do some other work on the bigger screen.

Here's the WiFi frames that work with Framechannel (which mean that they are on RSS and will sync automagically with at least Framechannel once you have it set up).

Kodak W1020 and W820
D-Link DSM-210
Samsung SPF
Digital Spectrum (all sizes)
iMate Momento (all sizes)
PhotoVu PV1750 and 1965

You don't need a frame to create a Framechannel account. So to see what it offers and how it works (there's a simulation mode to show you what it will look like on the frame), just go to framechannel.com and create an account and mess around. I did this before I bought a frame just to see what it's capable of

The Kodaks, Samsungs, iMate Momento series, Digital Spectrum, and D-Links are all on Amazon.

The only one that I have used is the iMate Momento and it was ok. No WPA2 means I had to downgrade my network security to WPA. The frame is slow to set up (it's sluggish). If you lose the small little remote that it comes with, you won't be able to configure the frame at all. And you do a dual-hop to Framechannel. Support is supposedly virtually non-existant. But aside from these quibbles, I thought it was pretty good.

My sisters and I each pitched in and bought my parents one of these for Christmas. It's a Samsung 8" model with Wifi, but most importantly, it's 4:3, not 16:9.

No problem. My brother-in-law received it yesterday, and it's great! I can upload pictures to it directly from my MBP with iPhoto and MobileMe; my sister can upload photos to it directly from Picasa; and, I can e-mail photos directly to the frame (which is great from my iPhone). I'm sure she'll love it.

I'm kind of a audio/video quality nut and seeing the prices on these things I wanted to get a really nice one for her. I'm in the process of setting it up for her and I'm REALLY impressed. Great display, great features and what I demanded - quality.
