Digital picture frames... ~$100-$150

I'm looking for a digital picture frame for my GF for Christmas.

A couple I looked at were the Kodak Easyshare and the Philips models, mostly around the 7"-9" range I think.

It would be best if it had an SD card slot (as it looks like most have), but other than that I'm not sure what is best.

Also, it's better if it's stylish, which was why I was leaning towards the Philips over Kodak.

I figured I should ask the pro's! So...

Do you guys have any ones you particularly like/don't like? Know the best places to buy? Have any other tips or suggestions?

I like the westinghouse frames and the insignia frames. I prefer a 4:3 aspect over widescreen and at least 640x480 resolution. I like the insignias because they look more like a photo with the glass over the frame.

I have just started looking at one of these as a X-mas gift. Newegg has a Matsunichi 800M link that is 800x600 around $125 (w/ shipping). The M has USB and a couple more features for a few dollars more than the 800. 8" 4:3. There is a note on maximum number of pictures on some of the frames, but Matsunichi is working on a firmware update to fix it from what I see at their site's support Q&A.

its a xmass gift so yea wont know for a bit

I was hoping to get either a 5.6" or 6" frame but they dont look anywhere as good as larger ones with higher rez.

Out of Pandigital, Philips, SmartParts and Kodak, which is the best?

Of those that own a digital photo frame, how important/useful is the remote? I noticed that Philips and Westinghouse doesnt include one.

Also, how bad is the cropping on the 16:9 widescreen frames?
