ok.. I just got the drive yesterday.
there is no sticker or what-so-ever on the drive which indicate it is a Lite-on drive.
its model # is 24x10x40, which is not lite-on's model.
I also checked the firmware, in the device manager in Win2k.
It show firmware version 2, and model 24x10x40.
I had a rebadge drive before, even though the front is different.
the firmware and model # is the same, sometimes you can even find the original manufacturer's name on the drive.
(with a small logo).
I wen to Costco Clue to check out CenDyne's 16x drive. On its back, it clearly marked as a Lite-on drive. So, I am not sure it is a lite-on.
