I tend to disagree that digital has sharper text. It depends on the video card 2D quality. I used my LCD with both digital and analog, and of course digital rules b/c in any resolution it doesn't need to adjust or anything, it's so good it's hard to believe. However, with lower quality 2D output from a video card an analog LCD may be unable to corectly display all pixels, it would show wavy lines, interference. It may be removed in most cases by adjusting the panel.
With a good video card analog LCD has exactly the same quality picture as a digital one, but, like I said, it needs to be adjusted to that picture (typically only once, though), unlike digital.
If you want my personal unbiased opinion, don't buy analog only LCD. Anyway it costs so much and digital is so good and trouble free that it would be cheaper to pay $100 more and get a DVI enabled monitor. Sometimes the difference in cost is a meagre $50, but those who get a digital panel get infinitely better product (of course, that's just IMO).
