If you have an LCD (maybe CRT too not sure) and a DVI connection, make SURE (if using nvidia) to go into the "Color Correction" settings in your display panel and turn up "Digital vibrance."

Compare in games (esp. Hl2 and BF2) and general viewing.

Amazing difference, colors are far more pleasing and games look much better and more realistic with better light effects!

Thanks for the tip!

I messed with mine and settled on the "low" setting. My wallpaper looks much nicer- can't wait to see BF2 with it.

I just turned mine up to just below the "low" marker. It probably screws up color accuracy, but everything sure looks more colorful.

Every color will turn super bright, most shades of blue will be extremely blue, etc.

It's fine in moderation (low setting) ... but the bad thing about it is if you get used to it for too long, normal colors will look crap... It burns your eyes or something.

It is a very good feature

May i also suggest turning up your Image Sharpness (to about the 2nd or 3rd line).... it really helps make words more sharp (youll notice a difference, trust me)

not noticably..... it just makes them more richer and fuller

i can notice that it makes what would be a dark blue more lightish, but thats a good thing (to me)

Upping vibrance will oversaturate the colours thats why everything seems so bright. Some monitors even the relatively cheap ones have the capability of changing colour settings.

It does mean that colour accuracy goes into the bin.

I dont think so, i know ATI Tool doesnt.....

What monitor do you have, sometimes the monitor has the same sort of settings (itd probably be called Vibrance, or something along those lines)

Color saturation is not something that Nvidia invented. Its a simple party trick much like boosting bass/treble settings for sounds. It throws off color accuracy to make it look subjectively better.

There might be hue/saturation settings somewhere or maybe your monitor may have color adjustment settings.

I miss it from a very short time I had an 5900XT, it made text look sharper on my CRT, it was nice for 2D, but not adding anything for 3D IMO.

People buy into this looking better.....great.....

If you like colors that are overdriven and way off from the intended color....go for it
