I have been searching for weeks to get a good deal on ebay for a graphics card for my system. Currently using the integrated graphics on the g3258.
At first I was just looking at low end Gt730 and 740 but for the performance these cards deliver and the price they were going for I thought it was not worth it, best to stick with what I have got.
I started to look at gtx750 ti but these for some reason seem to hold there price. I made some half hearted bids on gtx 660 cards but I kept feeling this was a backward leap rather than a backward step.
The GTX 760 looks like a better deal as this was roughly selling for the same to £10 more than the Gtx 750 Ti and I think that it was mentioned in this forum the gtx 760 is a signaficantly better performer than the 750ti.
770 and greater went beyond my price range.
I finally won an auction for a MSI gtx760 oc gaming edition card that had been used in a sli set up and the seller was getting rid of both. The seller now has a gtx 980.
His first card sold for £79 and the next I won at £65. I guess Antiques Roadshow's nude held bidders attention on tv.
Ten minutes after auction end I get a message that there has been a technical difficulty with the card and it is being RMA 'd to Netherlands. I asked for an explanation as the auction stated card in perfect working order and the seller replied that he had broken a fan while packing the card.
I have not paid for the item yet nor will I until I have received confirmation that the card is back in working order. I do want the seller to honour the auction. I want this card by May 24th for Warhammer total war.
