I saw this documentary once, that said cavemen used to use dinosaurs for all sorts of mundane tasks (backhoes, record players, etc.)... I think it was called The Flintstones.

I am interested in more modern and pressing questions---like the extinction of GWB&co. Make it happen.

But historically, the bird dino link is far more ancient---and was suggested by similarities in skeletal structure. The modern collagen links are just more evidence that they at least shared common bone proteins.

The DNA of chimps are very similar to humans, but that does not mean we are now or ever were related.

It is more likely there was a super-volcano that exploded and wiped out all life on earth from toxic fumes, and an Ice Age.

If the progressively more and more similar DNA between life forms that, also, before the discovery of DNA, were posited to be more and more closely related evolutionarily does not support, specifically, the notion those life forms are more and more closely related, what other logical conclusion, pray tell, does it indicate?

Hey Red Dawn, if you believe that then... I have some land on the moon you would probably be interested in.
