Translation - Only libs are allowed to be offended by other's forms of expression. How about we keep politics out of sports? I'm genuinely glad for these guys that've won life's lottery and are talented enough to land a job in the NFL, but I don't about what cause du jeur they're pushing. Play your game for all you're worth, don't beat up or rape your girlfriend, don't engage in dogfighting, don't shoot anyone, don't get involved with drugs, and I'll respect you. You poor libs just can't take people disagreeing with you and refusing to be assimilated into your dreary collective. It's sad. When I was a kid, it was the libs that were the trend-setters, the non-conformists, the questioners of the establishment, the advocates of freedom. Libs have devolved into everything they once hated. I actually pity them.

Were you going for irony quoting someone calling out triggered snowflakes and their safe spaces? Wow, talk about getting triggered. FFS...

The side of your field may seem green to you, but that's only because it's fertilized with bullshit.

Carry on idiot warrior. You have a future SJW carrier in the countries of China, Cuba, Laos and maybe Venezuela.

Good job not addressing a single thing I wrote, snowflake (apparently ad hominem attacks are all you understand).

Glad to see I stirred up a snowflake squall. Typical of how libs have devolved. 'Our side is holy, righteous, and just; so if you don't agree with us, you're a polar opposite of us.' Remember, you libs were the ones who ragged on Bush for his, 'If you're not with us, you're against us.' rhetoric. For the record, I didn't care for that comment either. Just because I'm critical of something doesn't mean I'm crying over it. Stop projecting.

So, why wasn't the lone Steeler's right to free expression, by standing for the Anthem, not respected? It sure appears like he was told to apologize for his 'stance' when he should've had no reason to do so. Who 'convinced' the Cowboys leadership to change their minds? They were vehement that no one on their team had better take a knee then did a 180. For that matter, why was it ok for the Cowboys leadership to tell the players that they couldn't wear armbands (or whatever it was) to show support for the murdered cops a year or so ago?

Personally, I'd be fine with going back to the old way of having the players come out after the anthem or give them the option to go out. Like I said in my original post, get politics out of sports, nd cause pandering as well.
Are you racist? Just wondering, not accusing.

I stopped subscribing to NFL Sunday ticket years ago. I just wasn't watching enough games to make it worthwhile.

Now that my team moved to Los Angeles I have zero reason to watch. Although, I did watch my Bills beat the Donkeys last Sunday.

I'll continue to watch games here and there, hoping the Chargers go 0:18 and eventually move back to San Diego where their real fan base is.

FTR-I don't give a fuck if players take a knee for the national anthem. Who the fuck cares about nonsense like this anyway? Well, aside from our Idiot in Chief of course.

Honestly, I don't understand why people really care about this. I also don't understand why people have such high reverence for the flag or the national anthem. I look at them as simply mutable symbols that reference the country and its values, and it's those values that I care more about. You can argue that it's those values that are the immutable definition of the country. I guess that's why it never really bothered me.

You shouldn't be sitting down during the national anthem anyway!

Well said.

I mean, have you read his posts? I think that's pretty obvious.

Keep trolling the snowflake Trumptards! I love watching them try to justify their racism.

I remember a popular football player taking a knee for God and the lefest snowflakes were up in arms. I call it a double standard. Colin Kaperdick started this BS and I don't think these football players really know what they are protesting. If it truly is about "discrimination" or some shit, the field isn't the venue. Go do that shit in front of your local precinct.

The majority of America does not support this taking a knee shit, they are burning their jerseys, tickets, hats, you name it. The NFL is going to lose their ass. And I hope we pull their tax dollars too! Can you imagine what service men and woman thought when those assholes took a knee in Britain watching from Afghanistan on the Armed Forces Network?!

Are you really this stupid? Pretty sure they're protesting the remarks the President needlessly made last week. The week prior to his comments only 6 players took a knee during the anthem. After our Twat in Chief's comments hundreds of them took a knee.

I don't give a crap what the majority of America supports, or what you think the majority of America supports. I support the players right to express themselves by taking a knee during the national anthem. I have no problem with it whatsoever.

Yeah, it's all a protest on Trump. Not about racial this or that, etc. I said I support free speech, but consider the venue. The NFL ratings are shrinking and the stands are emptying. Consider the venue.

Lets just look at the blatant hypocrisy of all this, and how the left is using this as a tool.

In 2012 the NFL had an issue with Tim Tebow kneeling for each game to pray, they also had an issue with Tebow wearing John 3:16 as part of his blackout to avoid glare and made him take it off.

In 2013 the NFL fined Brandon Marshall for wearing green cleats to raise awareness for people with mental health disorders.

In 2014 Robert Griffin III (RG3) entered a post-game press conference wearing a shirt that said "Know Jesus Know Peace" but was forced to turn it inside out by an NFL uniform inspector before speaking at the podium.

In 2015 DeAngelo Williams was fined for wearing "Find the Cure" eye black for breast cancer awareness.

In 2015 William Gay was fined for wearing purple cleats to raise awareness for domestic violence. (not that the NFL has a domestic violence problem...)

In 2016 the NFL prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal on their helmet in honor of 5 Dallas Police officers killed in the line of duty.

In 2016 the NFL threatened to fine players who wanted to wear cleats to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11.

So tell me again how the NFL supports free speech and expression all of a sudden....

I do not sit down to watch football to watch protesters. Do it on your own time, not mine.

I've yet to see them take a knee and protest during a game. They are doing it at a moment, where they are not paid to be athletes, that has nothing to do with the game, which has only been a fake tradition since the august days of 2009.

When have you actually ever sat down to watch them parade out and stand for the anthem with big scary jets and fireworks overhead? Is that why you watch football?

Before 2009, players used to sit in the locker room while the anthem was played then came onto the field but the military started paying the NFL millions to have the players on the field as a recruiting tool by having the players out on the sidelines. If you were ever at a sporting event(any), you will find spectators sitting, using the bathroom, running to the concession lines, etc. So, the US gov't made it political and spectators are just as disrespectful. And you sound like a dotard like our POTUS.

So it's ok for the players to protest but not the fans?
