slang for hick, country hick etc. Some people spell it with a k; others do not. I'm sure you have heard that word so many times throughout your life. Let me guess. You drive a pickup. Wear Lee jeans. Chew tobacco. Are likely fat or obese to the tune of at least 300 pounds. Bald or shaved head. Talk with an accent like you barely graduated first grade. You hunt and fish. You drive in the left lane of a highway at about 30 Mph, and you have a body odor that would be offensive to a street bum. Does that about cover it?
