That was already debunked by Crytek themselves. In wireframe mode, there was no culling which meant you could see everything that was tessellated, including the ocean. Only uninformed people perpetuate the idea that Crysis 2 was "over tessellated."

Crysis 2 tessellation implementation is actually one of the best in any game..

You still have the most overly tesselated concrete walls I have ever seen in a video game. The point still stands.

Overly tessellated according to who? AMD, who's anemic tessellation units couldn't handle it at the time? The whole point of tessellation as I recall was to increase detail with thousands of tiny triangles rather than having to use different textures for LOD.

In Crysis 2, the concrete barriers became more tessellated the closer to you were to them, and less the further you were away. It worked exactly as it should have.

Anyway, this has been covered ad nauseam on these forums and many others. Stop trying to derail this thread and do your own research if you want to know the truth..

Actually you did assert because despite many tech websites reporting the same thing on the matter, we all know it wouldn't be good enough for you unless it came from AMD themselves and it's not like they were going to disclose that information to the public.

Anyway, believe whatever nonsense you want to believe. I'm just going to ignore your posts from now one unless you have some relevant input. And the word is libel by the way, not "bibel."

That's not true. I played it on Ultra when the patch came out, and stayed near 60 FPS. That video was shown on an AMD card, Nvidia cards at the time could. AMD cards, not long after, could play the game fine as well, but they had to adjust how much tessellation was used with in the CCC.
