I must have enabled it or installed the driver during my playing around. Is there away to turn if off? my cpu always runs at 900mhz. I also have a slotek kt8pro-939 that always shows FF on the motherboard display any idea on that?

You can disable it in the BIOS (I forget exactly the menu choice - "Cell" something) or simply change your power savings settings to anything other than "Minimal Power Management", once you're in Windows.

But you're probably only seeing 900mhz when your CPU isn't busy. When you start a process, such a game or video encoding, the multiplier will go up to its normal rating.

Thats correct. It keeps the processor speed and voltage down until needed. When load increases, the processor seamlessly increases speed and voltage to meet demand.

My Sempron 3100+ runs at 800mhz and 0.900v while idle and goes as high as 1.8Ghz and 1.35v under full load. Being a web server, it barely sees much time above 800mhz and the CPU runs at a constant 29c during the winter
