I bought an Audigy today and I was quite disappointed with it. I don't think it worth so much of money. I couldn't hear any diff. between value and audigy. Maybe my hearing level is low? My roomate said maybe because my digital speaker is not good enough? I don't know. I'm using creative FSP2000 and I think it's a good speaker. Anyway I have some questions about my audigy and I guess you guys have the answer for them.
1) Do I have to use creative playcenter in order to fully enjoy audio clean up, DREAM and EAX advanced HD audia effects? I mean can I use winamp or windows media player?
2) In my old Live! value mixer, there is a setting for me to keep my treble and bass level at the level I set even when I change my EAX effect, but in audigy mixer, I couldn't find it. Anyone knows where it is?
3) I had this static noise "tic tic tic" from my digital speaker (FPS2000) when I was using my old live! value card (once a while, not always), at that time I thought maybe it was because my live! value that made all these noise. But after I installed my audigy, this static noise(once a while too)is still there. I already changed my sampling rate to 44.1KHz but no luck. So is this because of the VIA PCI thing? Should I install the patch created by george(viahardware.com)?
Thanks
