Disaster overclocking Geforce3 ti200:(

I did a moderate overclock of my video card and all text became blurred, and colors were distorted, so I manage to barely interpret text and stuff and get to the overclocking utility for my Leadtek card. I put it back to default levels and reboot....the desktop now looked as normal as ever But when I double-clicked 3DMark2001 icon, the text became blurred up again It was the same degree of blurred text as before! So I underclock my card a bit, and when I rebooted the icons on the desktop were distorted in color(text was clear though) What is up with that? Why is it now acting like this UNDERCLOCKED????????????? ARGH!!!

uninstall and reinstall the card, and use an oc utility like coolbits or nVmax.

This is whack.......Text is fine UNTIL I launch an application such as 3dMark2001, then all text right away becomes very unclear When I launch Internet Explorer all is fine though, this is weird Did the overclock change any display prperties or something? I looked but everything looked normal in the settings. I'm running at 159/375 right now Wouldn't setting it back to defaults or underclocking have cleared up the problem? Did I damage it when overclocking? I don't see how that is because the Roadrunner overclocking guide for this board has a thing you drag to overclock and their are colored markers below it....green, yellow, and red. When I overclocked I moved it to the border of green and yellow.........that should have been safe wouldn't it? I think it was at 201/425 or something very close to that. Is that high enough to damage the board?

This pisses me off, why would Leadtek hand out such a crappy overclocking utility that it screws the video card over even with just a mild overclock? I uninstalled the video card from Device Manager, rebooted, and colors are still distorted and applications I try launching on the desktop still become very unclear. It's not just 3DMark I even did a driver upgrade and rebooted, it's still messed up.

And to think.....I downloaded Powerstrip this morning....I was going to use it if the overclocking utility provided by Leadtek didn't please me......I definitely found the answer to that....... Do you think messing around with Powerstrip might help things?

I just used a System Restore point I made yesterday and I still get distorted colors and blurred text opening applications

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the vid card? as i have said previously elsewhere, i suggest getting the 22.5 betas at icrontic.com. also pick up nVmax for overclocking. if icrontic.com doen't have nVmax, voodoofiles.com does.

Same thing happened to me with my Visiontek GF3ti200. I had to use another OC util to lower the clock speed. AKA, re-overclock it then lower it again. After that things were better.
