Sixth time they have called me to purchase their "Protection Services" I DO NOT WANT ANY!!! TAKE ME OFF THE LIST, DO NOT CALL ME ANY MORE, I DO NOT WANT ANY!!!.

Is there anything that can be done about this? I am a cardholder, but have no balance, and am getting sick of this crap...

That reminds me of Capital One's response to this sort of thing, "No we can't put you on a do not call list. It's not spam, it's valuable information that we cannot deprive you of."

MBNA does the same to me. I now know the numbers/area codes they call from and ignore every call. They haven't talked to me in over a year.

Just tell them no and hang up. If you're willing to cancel your card, tell them to fuck off and die and cancel your card. Then hang up

discover keeps sending me checks for like $9 in the hopes that I cash them, which automatically enrolls you into their credit protection nonsense.

I usually tell them to give me detailed information about the benefits, then lay down the phone and go do something else.

Does Discover have any benefits over Visa/Mastercard?

The thing is those people are not part of discover, they are hired by discover. They also don't give a shit if you stay with discover or not. I have called and canceled a card because they would not stop calling. The first time I called, the discover rep talked me out of it saying they would never call again. The next day they called.

This is the number one reason I will never again get a discover card.
