I'm now currently bulking up again and have gained a few pounds while I am trying to gain strength, although I'm staying somewhat lean as well.

Taken 2 weekends ago.
Very good looking. Don't accept any offers from Geekdrew or Nebor... unless you swing that way.

I just want to make both the weight gainers and losers in here aware of the website Fitday - it lets you track what you eat each day, which allows you to be very methodical about your weight loss/gain. I've been using it for the past few years now.

All you skinny guys who claim you can never gain a lb. need to use this website and figure out exactly how much you are really eating every day. Most skinny guys who swear they eat "a ton" are surprised to see that it barely adds up to 2000 cals when they actually calculate it in fitday. Some need to eat > 7k cals/day to gain.

If you want to lose weight, tracking what you eat using fitday is much better than haphazard advice like "cut out sugar", "don't eat after x PM", and other stuff.

If you want even more good info., see the link in my sig.

Well, that's my shameless plug for WBB and Fitday

Good luck to all:thumbsup:

I used fitday when I started as well and realized that I was consuming about 3000 calories a day which just wasn't cutting it. I try to get around 5000 now, but its very hard with just eating in chow halls.

I'm in.

I need to lose about 30-35 pounds of fat in the worst possible way. I could probably stand to gain some muscle in the meantime as well.

Would pics be available to everyone or just judges?

I have lost ~50 lbs since January. The first four months was ~10 lbs per month. Someone can lose more or less depending on type of diet change, exercise, and original weight or
BMI.

I actually just finished one of these contests, which sucks because I'd love to get in on this.

I lost over 26 lbs. in two months. I am now half way to my goal.

Dang I wish y'all had done this last year. I went from 275 pounds to 162 pounds. And my BF% dropped to 7.5% from only god knows what.

I'm still building muscle and reducing fat so I'd like to get in on this, though I'm sure I won't win based on the time frame of the contest, I don't have far to go. My wife and the rest of my family think I've gone too far already.

Wow, congrats! I know what you mean though. The same thing happened to me over the past year (to a smaller degree). I went from 217 to 154 and now all of my friends and family say I'm too skinny.

Anyway, I'm trying to put a good 10 - 15 pounds of muscle on, which so far seems to be a lot more difficult than losing the weight.

I don't get the too skinny thing from my wife, I get the too hard thing. My sisters think I'm too skinny though.

My ultimate goal is to run triathlon, so low body fat and good muscle tone is what I'm after. I don't want to be a body builder, that would make me too stiff and heavy to compete well. But I do want to have an extremely cut physique with a decent amount of bulk.

I missed who said it, but the 3 categories idea sounds great:

Losers - those who wish to focus on losing weight AND fat
"recomposers" - those who really don't need to lose weight, but are flabby and want to replace fat with muscle. I would fit into this category. 6'2", 235, big gut but with some muscle under my fat.
Gainers - skinny bastards who are looking to gain some muscle mass.

I think folks should feel free to black out their faces if they feel self-conscious, but to be part of this competition I think it should be required to pos a "before" pic, maybe with their AT forum name and the date on something. No one is going to make fun of you, and if they do they'll be shouted down immediately. Plus, shame is honestly a good motivator. I'm not looking forward to posting my flab for the world to see, but I'm doing it, because I want to change. I'm not that worried about what people think of how I look, because I know I look bad, that's why I'm doing this.

Man, you're too late with this for me. A few years ago, I was nearly 200 lbs at 5'7. Then I lost it in about 3-5 months to 138 lbs. Felt it was dangerously low and until recently, gained muscle to now about 152 lbs.

I has pictures, but I guess I'm too little too late.

I'm in - and I'll go Chad Johnson and guarantee a win in the "weight loss" competition

I just started a serious diet/exercise program two weeks ago, already down ~15 pounds (long way to go). About to head off for 40 minutes of cardio right now. I'll get a pic snapped with my username soon.

Good luck to everyone.

I'll take that bet. Just started myself and I'm down 21 in two weeks. I have a distinct advantage of being a bigger fatass, but a distinct disadvantage by me being an oldfart.

btw-I know it was mostly water.

$5 side bet? How old? (feel free to PM...just curious if you're more of an oldfart than me)

I know mine is mostly water too - but I've actually stuck to 95% of my diet, which for me is an absolute miracle.
