According to terms and conditions, it's Nationwide....

"This offer is limited to new, first-time residential DISH Network subscribers who: (1) reside in the continental United States, Hawaii, or certain sections of the Anchorage, Alaska metropolitan area that have been determined by DISH Network in its sole discretion to be eligible locations under this promotion;"

Nice find-=- gonna try to get my package price down.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Ok, no dice apparently-- Dish Netowrk doesn't seem to care about existing customers. :/

While the package is available, it's not available to ME since I signed up in January. Here's my letter to them after cancelling service all together.

To whom it may concern:

After finding out about the new $19.99 top 180 promotion with a 12/24 month commitment, I called in to change my package over to this plan. I've been a customer since January, with NO commitment. I'm told since I signed up BEFORE the promotion started in early April, I do not qualify as an 'existing' customer. I would think DishNetwork would rather have my $25 a month ($19.99 plan + 3 televisions) over $0 per month. I appear to be wrong.

I have since asked to cancel my account seeing how much dish values it's EXISTING customers and their regular cash flow. As a RECENT customer, it's good to find out how much a company values their existing customers, and their satisfaction early in the relationship.

As a model of POSITIVE Customer Service, I point to SBC Communications, a Dish Partner, provides my DSL Internet service. When they offer a new promotion, they allow existing customers to take advantage of the offer by simply re-newing their commitment from the time of the service change. SBC is then gauranteed a customer for the next 12 months, or until they offer another promotional package.

I was willing to "re-up" for the 24 month term offered, but am told there is no way to offer that to me. VERY disappointing. I'll also be happy to make sure this message is made public to the best of my ability. I hope someone reads this, and is able to help make DishNetwork a more customer friendly operation-- including existing customers.

When I went directly to their site it said 19.99 first three months, but when I went to dishnetwork.com/ny it had said 19.99 for 1yr. However it also said they could change terms, price and service at anytime.

Be Lucky you are not a ComCrap or Cingular customer.

Cingular went ahead and took over all of ATT accounts yet, you think you are going to Benifit from it after they have done nothing but send you email to tell you how much better it's going to be? FAR FROM IT!!!!

ComCrap has deals all the time - free modems and 6 months for 19.95. If you call to take advantage of them and have been with them for umptine years they simply tell to keep paying the 60 bucks a month! If I were not getting free cable I'd have sent em down the road long ago!

Welcom to the real world.... Every company has these types of deals to suck you in so you can pay the higher reate in 3 months... This practice is not uncommon and sadly no company has to abide by any set of rules.

If you could send a letter to every dish owner or every cable modem to send a letter to Dish/Comcrap and tell them if we don't get the same deal as the rest are getting then they may listen.

I figure 500-1000 people would be enough... Now who is with me??? hahahaha

When I click on the link I only see the 19.99 for a year for Top 60 programing not Top 180. Am I wrong or is it for 60 not 180?

This promotion was targeted towards Time Warner customers in NY who had MSG and FSN New York removed from their cable systems and kept Mets fans from seeing a majority of their games. However, the Mets returned to MSG/FSN New York last night as Cablevision and Time Warner agreed on a new carriage agreement.

I have been with dish network for years now and have never got them to offer me a good deal for staying,Yes I have asked a few times, they suck. my other alternative is direct tv and don't like it either. Only reason I keep it is because the kids have to have a cartoon fix now and then, and I get lots of free channels with the reciever that they gave me. HBO, Cinemax and a few others, still nothin to watch!

Pardon my French - but that's a load of fresh, hot BS.

My AT&T service has improved continuously, customer service has been aboutpar for the course and I've continued to get my annual customer retention/new phone discounts as always. 4+ years with ATTWS/Cingular, and still loving it

I see three months of 180 channels plus local and then it reverts to the regular 180 channel price. See small print from their website:

"Offer requires 1- or 2-year commitment to qualifying programming under the Digital Home Advantage program. For 1-year commitment, if qualifying service is terminated or downgraded below qualifying programming prior to end of 1-year period, a cancellation fee equal to the lesser of $240 or $20 per month for each cancelled month of service will apply. For 2-year commitment, if qualifying service is terminated or downgraded below qualifying programmingv prior to end of 2-year period, a cancellation fee equal to the lesser of $240 or $10 per month for each cancelled month of service will apply. Customer must call or log into their account to downgrade to another qualifying package after 3 months or the then-current price for the 180-channel package will apply. Discounts also available off all other DISH Network programming packages."

I wonder if they CHARGE to downgrade; I got stuck with that from Direct TV before.

Yes, but the OP's link gives you $19.99 for 12 months with a 12 month commitment.

But the question is, can you get that outside of NYC?

I think it's the NY Metropolitan Area which includes NJ and parts of CT

I don't know. the reason I posted the text was because some people wanted to know what the price AFTER the period would be.

Certainly not everywhere . . . I tried for my zip code (Atlanta, GA), but it only gives me the option of 3 months at $19.99 and then 9(or 21) more months at $31.99(minimum level).

...but at the end of the terms and conditions, they throw out the standard get-out-of-jail-free statement: "DISH Network shall determine eligibility for participation, including without limitation the number of receivers to be provided, in its sole discretion and reserves the right to deny eligibility for any reason."

Damn, I was ready to jump ship from Comcast.
